New stock msp radio trouble

Well it appears I have a whole new issue with this damn radio. The thing is halfway closed and will not move. It is in the position of ejecting a cd or whatever but is frozen. Top left corner of back side does nothing to fix it and when i press the small reset button it fully opens as if it is about to play then after 2 seconds the lights around the volume knob, etc go blank and it looks like it loses juice and then goes right back to half closed. (boom05) Pissin me off..... any ideas??? disconnecting battery repedidly (sp) does nothing. Help?

Does it still play music of any kind? Try holding the eject button for a few seconds.

Hmm... I wanted a msp kenwood, but everyone always seems to have a problem... idk if I should get one now...

when it does work-- i love the looks/functions of the radio... its the only reason i didnt pitch the damn thing a yr ago.

No music or anything. It lights up for a few seconds (volume knob, green #s...) and then just sort of dies and stays still forp a few seconds followed by a retraction into piss-me-the-****-off mode, aka cd eject mode. If i didnt have sirius all hooked up and s*** i would love to take hammer and eject my ****** anger... and by any ol cd/mp3 player

I think I have had this happen to me. I took it to the delearship and they fixed it. I actually had this happen to me two separate times. I will check my receipts when I get home and see what they did.

its the ribbon cble to the face take it to the dealer and theyll get you set up

I just had this happen to me a couple of days ago, any updates on what it is, I'm going to the dealership tomorrow to have it checked out

I had the exact same thing happen to me two days ago. I took it to the dealer and they had to order a NEW head unit. good luck getting one I heard they are backlogged on them because Kenwood discontinued them. If i don't get it within a week I'm going to asked them to replace it with a superseding model by Kenwood. My friend is a lawyer but wish me luck. (rockon)

They cant be that back logged and discontinued...I just got one in last friday...its sitting at the dealer waiting to be installed when i take it in.
