New MSP Part Hit the Market!!!

I was under the impression the RB cat-back would fit both Sedans and P5's, and therefore, this should fit as well?

I would like to get a mellow axle back for my P5, and I hope something like this will fit. As I don't have compressed air flying out, it should be mellow throughout the RPM range.

is that not the same exhast tip as be4?

Right PDH! I have one on my car now. We hope to do those movie clips tonight (if it doesn't rain).

PDH- that is the same tip as before.

About the video, we're going to have to hold off on it due to weather, we'll probably get it up on the site sometime saturday afternoon or sunday.

I look forward to seeing these pictures. I always expected that when Mazda put on the RB exhuast, i wondered what kind of sound it makes? But the results are somewhat dissappointed. There's next to nothing from the RB. The only time i do hear it is right when i fire up the car, and when i downshift to slow down. Other then that, all the road noise from traffic and wind drowns it out. I hope this exhuast can bring the sound back altogether when i accelerate, downshift and when i'm in the mood, when i punch it! :D

For those who have already have a custom exhuast with 2.5" or 3" piping, will they be able to bolt on this exhuast? I understand this is a direct bolt on for stock piping before the axle. I'm assume it won't work.

Oh yeah! Trust me. You hear it just fine....!! I will post more pics tonight when I get home.

Limited Edition- This exhaust is what Mazda should have done in the first place. It has that aggressive tone with the look of a factory tuner piece. As far as your question, if the exhaust you are refering to still has the flange in the stock position and all factory hangers in place, I dont see why not but a reducer/adapter will have to be made onto the piece to accomodate the 2.5"-3" tubing.

No welding for the customer...all you would do is bolt it on. Corey is listing the easy instructions. (thumb)

The entire axleback assembly was welded together. The hangers are probably what you see and they are welded to the pipe. They slide into the black rubber hangers on the car. The process for installing this piece is very simple. Here is the process for removing/installing your HSM Axle-back assembly.

1. Unbolt the stock RacingBeat muffler, pop the hangers out of the black rubber supports, and remove it from underneath the car.

2. Take the HSM unit and slide the flange over the back of the rear crossmember with the tip pointing out the back.

3. While supporting the pipe, be carefull not to hit the bumper with it and put the passenger-side hanger thru the lower hole in the black rubber support.

4. once the passenger side is securely placed into the rubber support, push the assembly towards the passenger side and it will travel enough to allow you to place the hanger on the driver's side of the pipe into the hole on the bottom of the black support.

5. After both hangers are secured, use the bolt kit included with your axle-back to secure the flanges tightly. You will use the stock gasket so make sure it is secured tightly.

6. Give it a wiggle to make sure it is secure, start it up, and ENJOY!!!!!

I may be missing the point here but it doesnt look like there is much if any muffler at all? That is a good thing right? I am an idiot with exhaust.
