New member...Hello!!!

Hi,
My name's Max and I own a P5...I just got it a month ago and I have pretty interesting plans with it. I'm planning to go on race tracks next summer (2010) with a few friends, but unfortunately, my car doesn't match theirs at all (GTI 2.0T '09, Skyline GTR, Skyline GTS-T with R34 2002 engine, VW corrado Vr6 Turbo).

That means that I have a lot of work to do this winter. Good thing is: I'm a translator so I have a lot of free time. So, I guess I'll go through this forum and try to get some good ideas for modding my p5.

dear lord it thats what they are bringing to the table you got a lot of work to do haha, welcome to the forums!

That's the engine from the mx-6, right?<

if so, how easy is the swap? i mean, it is quite bigger than ours...

and is making a car twin turbo much harder than making it with only one turbo?

cant imagine it being harder really.. i'm sure they make kits for a TT setup. just fitment.

and yea i believe it's from the mx6

But as for fitting a Kl-Ze, how much fittment does it need?

it is still over 500cc more than our engines?

it's a 2.5L v 6 if i'm remembering correctly.

and what i've HEARD is that it uses the same mounts.. check with lukeni protege and do a search for the swap, should come up with something on them.

Pretty sure swapping a kl will leave no room for even one turbo in a protege since I think na the kl puts out like 160whp.

Just to give you n idea turboing your protege and building the motor and tranny just to be reliable at about 300whp will be close to $7000 parts only without any labor included which would be another minimum of $3000.

I was just looking into it cuz it's a V6 but anyway, i think I'm just gonna get an engine forged (See ''Al/Ti casted-forged engine'' under ''protege based performance''

I'm fully aware of that and it's not a problem...I have big projects for my baby (see: ''New member...Hello'' under ''protege 5 welcome area'')
