I just got back from the divsional in Texas. Fun event- just no one else in FSP. I got some new front springs- 450#'s (up from 325). Awesome. Thanks Justin! Turn-in was beautiful and it slalomed so nice.
Unfortunately I got 10" long springs since that was all they had in stock at the time, and a 10" long spring is way heavier that an 8" long spring. So I'll have to get some 8" springs when they get them back in stock and return the 10" ones.
Since there was no one else in my class I did a little test and tunin' messing with ride height, alignment, and tire pressures.
I need to get some new wheels that fit under my car better. I kept clipping cones with the rear tire! Anyone know where I can get some light 14"x8" (6" backspace) rims? I may have to go for 13"s or 15"s because I haven't seen much light stuff available in 14"s.

That aside, unless you can fit a 15" wheel/tire combo with the same rolling diameter as your current 14" setup, I'd stick with a 14" solution.

13's will not fit ( at least not on a 94' )
I've heard of 13"s fitting the front, but they need to be certain brands (don't know which). The problem with 13's on the rear is that you can only get about 4" of backspace due to the toe-links.
So I think the 14" is the best way to go to get the same wheel on all four corners. I just want to find something lighter than Diamond Wheels, but costs less than Kodiaks ($417 per wheel!). I'm not sure if that even exists.

OK, I'm seriously considering getting some 15" rims and trying the 275/35/15 Hoosiers.
I'm thinking of getting 15x9's with a 6" backspacing. anything wider seems like it would be making the car too wide. Also, with the 9" wheel I figure I could run 225's as an option.
The Hooiser is the same OD as my current 225-50-14's so there is no change in gearing. And the tire itself only weighs 1 pound more.
Anyone have a good recommendation for a wheel? Diamonds are going to be too heavy in that size...so I gotta go for something good.

Yes sir. The muffler is yours! Its the Axle-back exhuast from the MP3 (which I believe could be the same as the Mazdaspeed)
