Check out my Mod. I did this the first year I got it. Did some trimming and remove the lower grill assembly completely. I'm running 55W Piaa yellow bulbs in 5.5" aftermarket lamps in the stock locations. Slightly larger than stock but spaced out w/ a few washers they fit very nicely.
Then the larger 6.5" Hella lamps in the middle are running 100w Ice Blue bulbs.
I'm running 100w Ice Blue H7's in the Low beams and the Stock 100w 9004's in the High Beams. When all 8 lamps are lit. Watch out.
This came in really handy running through the badlands of SD on my way south like the picture shows. That car was dirty and in need of a serious paint job after that trip.
Except for the Aftermarket set of lights in the middle I'm running stock wiring. The Low beams have given me no trouble with stock wiring. Though I am running a Cap on the battery to even out the voltage load to a constant 14.5v all the time. This helped a lot.
This would be a great option, especially if you were to custom fab a ram-air system through the driver-side stock lamp location. Then install a video camera mount in the passenger side location. Then you could just install your camera and shoot some great video if you autocross or whatever...
Hey, just for s**** and giggles, can you PS a small projector light setup similar to the new mustangs pony package. I like the way they did those, with the metal crossbar. Here's a referrence pic.
Cool look if you put them behind the grille. Also...why do people put STS 2 on their car, when they know that STS2 is a class?? LOL I saw one guy as 2 STS2. The timing folks were like wtf?
