New FMIC

Your supra intercooler looks great. I don't have a FMIC yet, and I would seriously consider this. The more products the better for proteges. I think it's funny how people say that there's already enough FMIC's, go look for a FMIC for something like a supra..or even an srt-4, there's way more available than we could ever hope for lol. If this looks financially agreeable to you guys, go for it. Good luck!

You guys talk as if I'm some huge corporate guy trying to clean out the little guys. I've been working on Mazdas and only Mazdas for the past 6 years. I've helped develop, prototype, and test a large number of products that many of you have on your cars. This Mazda "community" is something I have been part of for that long also.

I've seen a few other kits out there now, but some of the companies don't even list them on their site. It's kind of hard for people to know about a product when you have read up on a message board to find out it's even available.

Instead of tearing down someone who wants to help create products, it would be more beneficial if you would offer help. Example... Posting a list of all the intercoolers already made, saying what you would like to see, etc.

I'm here to help create parts and offer product at good prices. I know there are a large number of people out there that want to see more parts made for these cars.

Good post, there is a thread about all the intercoolers available already FYI (I believe it's a sticky in the MSP section). I would like to see something along the lines of the MAM or Perrin FMIC - large core (to fill up grille opening), perhaps a choice of different flanges for different BPV/BOV's, routing of piping shouldn't go through stock location to allow for larger radiator, etc.

wow. Someone tries to create something for our cars and gets bashed....go figure. I've not seen this happen 200 times on this forum.

There are quite a few options for the owners of evos, wrx's, and srt-4's, so why not add to the support of having another company that actually want's to put msp's in the game. As far as input input of making a new fmic for the msp, i'd have to agree with xtrememsp, cover the entire front opening with the intercooler itself, allow for choicing on the bov, bpv, bpv/bov combo, offer the piping in shiny, as well as powder coat, for the same price.
If everyone thinks about it, the more manufacturers that make products for our cars, the more each manuf. try's to beat out the others with price or options, so don't knock something if the end outcome will be benificial.

I think most peope here focus on the price first. Then they look at what options they have with the kits: powder coat, flange choice, coupler color etc. If you make something that looks good, performs great and isn't insanely expensive, you'll have customers.

I wasn't bashing you from a loyal msprotege.com user's perspective, but from a consumer perspective. Look at the sticky on fmic's in this forum- at your price point, you will be settling right in the middle of all of the others.

I was serious when I asked what makes your product different from the others. It's the same price, same function... whats special?

I would definitely love to see another turbo header out there, though, and some other parts. But the FMIC is almost played out in the $900+ price range.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "Don't Make It", I'm pretty much just curious as to why you wouldn't try to do something special, like lower prices or have some defining feature in mind that caused you to want to hop in.

My main concern with what is on the market is the lack of information. I've looked through that post and tried finding all the information I can. For instance, I do not see anything on Ion's website about an intercooler (most of their links are bad anyway). Protegegarage.com does not seem to be a valid website anymore, I also don't see a listing for HiBoost's intercooler on SPD's site (nor info on hiboost.com besides they have one).

Pann Auto has some information, but Perrin Performance is the only one I can find actual/good information on.

These intercoolers utilize the much sought after Spearco bar and plate design and are a complete bolt on system without cutting up your car. Our kits also come with T-Bolt clamps opposed to the cheaper worm style clamps found in other intercooler kits. Our piping is all powder coated and will be available in black or silver. Also included in the kit are silicone couplers, and everything needed for install (bolts, brackets, misc hardware). We would also offer a complete write up for our website and for this board with detailed pictures and installation guide.

In addition to creating our own kit, we also offer the Perrin Performance system. Our goal is to provide quality product at an affordable price with options and optimal performance gains to suite the customers needs. With the completion of the kit will we have dyno graphs available from our in-house DynoJet comparing before and after to show results.

Also, for those running the Unichip EMS, we will be creating new maps based on this Intercooler kit.
