New deck + Sub = dimming head lights! :(

So i just installed a newish system in my car and the headlights dim even when the sub is on its lowest setting. Ive heard that the p5s have grounding issues and ive also been told to upgrade the battery to a yellow top. Does anyone know which i should do first? Im thinking the battery but i dont know what model i need for the p5. Who else has changed out their battery and had the dimming issue resolved?

get a red top. it does well the yellow is a deep cycle used for powering accessories, the red top would be better as a starting and high performance battery. a grounding kit would also help a lot. even one of those ebay ones would help. the nrg is prolly one of the nicer grounding kits. also 1sty might still make you one. if you can get one of those then that would be ideal. don't get a capacitor, they are only bandage fixes for something much larger.

and its doing gr8 under load of 2 large amps

what is the big problem with capacitors? i was wondering what to do about the diming as well and was considering buying one from a friend.

optima battery and capacitor should fix the problem.

I had that problem, then got a capacitor and it stopped.
