NEMOC Random BS Thread

Hey! It's been a great season for top down driving! Went on another run with the local club two weekends ago. 168 miles of twists and turns along with a detour where we made a wrong turn and ended up on a narrow wooded road full of potholes. It was like a mini auto-x in slow motion. lol

lol at the top designs for Bruce! How about a walker with AARP CLUB? :p

Tony, how in the heck are ya? I'll hit you up regarding those strut mounts. Haven't even ordered them yet. I did order a quart of chassis saver today. Let's see if this stuff really works and it sloooooows down the cancer.

Bruce, how was your family visit? I'm sure it was nice to see the kids and catch up. How are mom and dad doing?

Been a great summer for riding...the bike. Logged tons of elevation on the mountain bike and added a road bike to the stable as well. Completed my first hill climb this morning. It wasn't a big hill but it was enough to get the blood flowing. 9% grade the last mile.

Me too brother. I would've liked to drop by.

Weekend coming up. Racing Sunday, helping my youngest to move to TO on Monday.

Blast having the girls around. Little tight in the rig with 3 of us, my older daughter and hubby are using my brothers trailer a lot over. Went out pubbing with them last night then a late night fire at the camp.

Finally met with my mom's social worker about dad. Got some more info and made changes in his criteria so hopefully he can get into a home sooner.

Good week so far.

nice bruce!!

all be safe this labor day weekend! enjoy!!

Quiet in here, guess that means everyone was out having a good Holiday weekend?

Took Wed-Fri off last week, saw Pitbull at the Allentown Fair Tuesday night, drove to Sandy Hook for a day at the beach on Wednesday. Took advantage of the kids being in school and took the Miata. (evil) Thursday was patching a hole in the boy's wall from an old water leak from around the chimney and running a few errands. Friday we dug up two dying holly bushes and trimmed the rest of the bushes around the house. Mowed the lawn Saturday prior to work and vegged out Sunday prior to work. Working out front is soooooo much better than the kitchen! Even got to bartend for a bit on Sunday night. :) Monday, I replaced the dining room light with a ceiling fan and then we went to Tam's parents for a picnic with the whole clan present. :D It was tough waking up and coming back into the office today.

So what did everyone else do?

Busy weekend.

Girls were still in town. Spent Sat bowling and watching SinCity2. Sunday was autox, started off well and but couldn't do better in the afternoon. 8/14 in my class.

Sunday was moving my youngest to Toronto. Up at 530am and didn't get home till 8pm. Long day but she is moved in to her house. Muffler fell off her car when I pulled into the uHaul lot. Wired it up for the trip back home.

My other daughter and her hubby left today, was a great visit but glad to have the rig to ourselves.

someone is getting old! glad you had a great visit!

I'm loving it. If it has the 2.0L SkyG engine that was in my rented CX-5 a few months back, it will be an absolute blast.

Busy for sure but overall it was great!

Missed the unveil last night but after reading about it, happy I did. Would def. be pissed if I was one of the guys who drove cross country for this event. IMO, Mazda failed at what was a great opportunity for further exposure for the brand.

I'm gonna guess skyactiv by the badge on the sad rear end. :p Lots of speculation for sure as of now. I think the 2.0 SkyG would be enough given the lower weight but maybe the 2.5 will find it's way in there? Or will they send it over with the 1.5? Any thoughts on Mazda offering different engine choices with different packages as they do the other models?
