Took some vacation this morning and went golfing. Shot my best 18 ever. 41 on the back and a 40 on the front. I was stoked after the front, then it kept going on the back. If 4 putts wouldn't have stopped 2 inches from the hole, I would have been under 80. Oh well, I'll take it!

Great weekend with the family. Mom's 83rd birthday. Did fireworks Sat nite which was a blast. Mia sat all weekend though.

Ugh, you AARP guys and retirement conversations. I'm just gearing up for college! Junior year just started so going to sit with the counselor to find out all we can and making a list of schools now to visit. Towson is near the top of her list. On a good note, she went over her schedule last night and realized that for her senior year she'll only need 1 credit to graduate! Hoping that she might be able to take some gen ed college courses instead of loading up on electives.

Found what looks to be a pretty nice Miata down in DE. Seriously tempted to take a drive down and check it out. Ya, I know.....never learned to drive a manual so my search has been limited to autos. Have an oppurtunity to learn though, guy from miata.net who lives about 30 minutes from me said he'd be willing to teach me in his 1990 Miata.

Also finding out that the auto paired with the 1.6 really cuts down on the 'fun factor'. So if I do stick with an auto guess I'll have to stick to searching for a 94 and up.

All you need is a 1 hour session with someone and the rest you will figure out driving solo on back roads. That's all I had. I taught my wife and she was super nervous about it until she just went out on her own and practiced starting in 1st gear over and over again. Or you can read my handy-dandy tutorial...
