NEMOC Random BS Thread

uhhhh I'm putting the oem headlights back in...I've had the black headlights in for almost 4 years.

Yeahh I think you're a fair bit farther away right now...

Oh yeah... that. Land of the dirty cars. No one washes their s*** here!

Too damn cute! I'm upset that I missed Halloween with my niece this year. Oh well... next year will be fun.

F'k, the left rear caliper on the P5 just seized up, just as I pulled in to work. Pulled the e-Brake to go around the turn and BAM that s*** is seized.

Gonna have to do an "in-the-parking-lot" repair job. **** me. Between the Corolla with the hub assembly I can't get out in my garage and now the P5, and all the Audi s*** I've been doing, I don't want to do any more car repair jobs.

I'm on my 3rd drivers side, and my 2nd passenger side caliper. I bought two while I've been here. They're sitting at home, waiting for me.

The p5 unseized at lunchtime, so I was able to drive it back to my house without incident. So that will be a garage repair job.

Now to finish up those rear brakes. Anyone ever work drum brakes? I need to take shoes, springs apart, remove the backing plate, press/bang the hub out and put it all back together.

Yeah... I have on my Civic, and a few other cars. The springs can be a b****, but as long as you remember which spring goes where, it's not too bad.

This Corolla is crazy simple in the rear. Torsion beam. Zero alignment adjustment in the rear. It's literally a hub in a big metal thing.

2nd day on the job and things are going well. I've been told to apply for a Passport asap because I will probably be heading to Vancouver in mid-Dec or late Jan... Wheeeha.

The weather is nice so I'll probably walk the half mile to work. yippee!

Just got the internet and tv hooked up today, while all of my belongings come in on Thursday.

You better believe it! I wish I was still going to Lynchburg, VA like I was. I flew thru ATL on the return trip. I could have scheduled a layover.

good morning ya'll...anyone see josh? i can hear him? ;)

well, i applied for to new positions yesterday in NC. one is with vanguard and the other childress kelin (commercial property management comp.) we'll see what happens, i have loads of exp, just what both companies are looking for, i think it would be a great fit too... but the living out of state and relocating thing might scare them away...

So I was backed into this am.....Guy in a Dodge Ram 1500 as I was pulling down an isle to park he was backing out, must not have seen the P5 and smacked my pass side rear......some good scrapes, couple dents.....pics to come...nothing to bad....now the pass side will get painted by his insurance company and probably the rest of the car, b/c my BIL is just that good.

Just got back from the appraisers...Will know what the damage is friday.....Here's to the guy who hit me....His Ins company is going to pay to respray and fix pass side damage, including that hideous spot on my door. YIIIPPPPEEEE!!! Now I only have to pay the cost of the other half of the car. My brother-in-law is the best@!

Oleg,

Drums are a PITA. You will need to get new spring kit(Hardware kit). Did you take them apart yet? Best to take pictures before you do especially if you don't have a manual. Let me know and I can give you a hand if you would like.

You should also check the hydraulics for leaks and make sure the bleeder works.

Took the car in today for an estimate. close to a grand to replace and repaint the fender so far. Car goes in end of Nov.
