NEMOC Random BS Thread

no part out.. selling it as a whole.. hopefully to someone on this forum who will take good care of it as much as i did.. :) i will not give this car to a dealership.. i refuse to do that

From what I've seen, most people on the forums will bother the crap out of you to part it out instead of selling it as-is.

Oh yeah.. forgot to post this up in this thread, my car will be for sale later this week.. as most of you guys know were expecting our first child and while i dont wanna sell it, ive been thinking it over and it would be better off if i did and got a more family oriented car.. were gonna try to downsize in the owning cars department since i own 5 including 2 trucks. im thinking 2 vehicles is sufficent... suggestions on what i should get are welcome.. i want to stay in the mazda family.

I saw this coming.

Everyone I know that has a 5 really loves it.

I have also heard very good things about the CX-7 (which happens to have a similar engine to the ms6.)

Yea similar engine, a little smaller turbo is really the only diff......And yes I love my Mazda5!! great family hauler, and also fun to drive.

lol ya the sec. I posted that I crashed my first msp, it only took about a couple hours for someone to ask if I was parting it out lol, before I even knew if it was totaled (I had a good idea though lol)

but damn I wish I had some money, if you don't mind me asking, how much you looking for generally

If you currently own 5 vehicles, and want to downsize to 2, wouldnt it make the most sense to keep the most family friendly 2 of the 5 rather than selling 4 (or 5) and buying 1 (or 2) that you consider super family friendly? A full size 4 door sedan is pretty family friendly for only having 1 kid isnt it?

how much do you have to get for the ms6 for the the sale of the it and purchase of a new car to save you money in the end?

ya I was thinking a ms6 is a nice car, and its a good size for starting out with a kid, at least for one of the cars, my dad up until a few years ago always had a 4 door sedan for the most part, but then again the mom always had a van, but u could keep the 6 and keep which ever car has the most space for the other car.. I mean unless you will be getting a lot of money back for the 6 (which with the mods you never do..) then I would think it would make more sense, just because the car is fast doesn't make it not safe.. usually a better preforming car is safer, depending on the type of driver.

i have a huge thread written out in word right now.. all's ill have to do is get a proper picture with the sign and add them in.. the thread will consist of all modifcations, wether or not i have the receipts for them, which 80% of them i do.. and what the orignal cost was to buy them.. it will have a link to the build thread i have in the 6 section so any potential buyer can see the history or the car and how it progressed as well..all documentation will be shown as best i can in the pics that i post up.. stay tuned for the thread guys..

i will say that KBB Value of the car STOCK is $18,075 with 32,000 miles on it in excellent condition (its beyond excellent)

my price will be higher of course.. but im making it reasonable.

I agree. Shoot, both Mary and I had 2 door coupes when Sara was little and that worked out fine. We did start out with just one 4 door car though when she was a baby.

Tony, looks like rain for tmw and Weds.

I'm not starting a family any time soon but I can tell you from my not so long-ago experience as the youngest in a family that there is really no need to get anything beyond a 4-door sedan unless you have 3 kids. We had a Plymouth voyager for awhile but we never really needed it. A full size sedan might be a little bit better but its not like they're gonna need any leg room when they're in a car seat.

Although I agree with you for the most part, it really depends on your kids activities. If you end up being a soccer mom/dad you might be hauling neighborhood kids around in addition to your own. However, you don't need to plan ahead and buy the biggest thing out there. Wait until you outgrow the vehicle you have.

well just to give you perspective when i was growing up the first family car in the states was a 1st gen mistu eclipse. And back then we were a family of four and it suited us just fine.

Morning All.

Heading back home today. Will take route 1 from Calais ME down to Portland. Beautiful day here, but looks like clouds further west in NH.
