hey, you P5 guys, have a quick question, do you know if the msp calipers will fit your P5s? are they the same thing or will they still fit? thanks (edit2: nvm already got my answer)

and good morning/afternoon, last week of school! it's a crazy thought (at least undergrad. school, graduate will be in the future sometime)

You already got the answer? Ok. I was going to say, you can use them but you need the bracket to mount them. I have MSP calipers on my P5.

oh, well I got a slightly different answer, so I just lump the calipers and the brackets all in one group, so if the guy with the P5 gets the calipers and brackets for front and rear calipers they will fit? someone said they need to change the front rotors too, is that true?

edit: hmm apparently the ebrake setup is completely different? so the rears would be very hard to swap out... did you find that problem?

Don't bother with the rears. I didn't.

The fronts, yes, you'll need new calipers, brackets, rotors and pads. They're all different.

Oh yeah.. forgot to post this up in this thread, my car will be for sale later this week.. as most of you guys know were expecting our first child and while i dont wanna sell it, ive been thinking it over and it would be better off if i did and got a more family oriented car.. were gonna try to downsize in the owning cars department since i own 5 including 2 trucks. im thinking 2 vehicles is sufficent... suggestions on what i should get are welcome.. i want to stay in the mazda family.

no part out.. selling it as a whole.. hopefully to someone on this forum who will take good care of it as much as i did.. i will not give this car to a dealership.. i refuse to do that

Reminds me of the movie "Flash of Genius" about the guy that invented intermittent wipers. That story didn't have as nice an ending though. It's sad how big business can bend the law by simply making it too expensive for the little guy to challenge them. Good to see at least one guy cut through the B.S. and get what he deserves.
