NEMOC Random BS Thread

Josh, I need help! I searched google using "mazda rx8 appearance package installation" and your blog post popped up first. James and I were trying to install the partial appearance package I bought (well over a year ago) and the tape we have didn't stick to the plastic piece but stuck really well to the bumper. I know it was a while ago, but do you remember what tape you used? I realllllly don't want to drill. Also we don't have any of the clips that I guess should have come with the package if it was direct from Mazda. You used those, right?

Haaaaaiiiii everybody!

Morning folks!

I'm finding myself really not wanting to be any part of the local Mazda crew anymore. I don't get it, but I have absolutely no desire to go to meets, make attempts to set up meets, or even talk to them. So weird.

what? maybe you're burnt out? i know from exp that i have to have balance in my life...not dump to much time, energy...whatever into any one thing. i'm just guessing here, but maybe that's part of it. i can't wait to get back together with the nepoc and or OH/KY/PA and general mazda crew. after the winter months and no "mazda" fix, i'm almost gitty about it! maybe that's just me! i'm kinda weird anyway! ask bruce!! ;)

Same thing happened to me with Gran Turismo. I was gung-ho for a while and organizing events but after a while I got bored with it. I still play, but I let others do the organizing for me. Leaves more time to work on the truck :)

I tend to jump right into things full steam but eventually lose interest when something else sparks my attention. I have lots of hobbies and when I get bored with one, I switch to another. Which reminds me, I've got to get out and do some more mountain biking!

i used to be just like that too! i had so many hobbies and interests i didn;t know what to do next! more simple now, wife, kids, grand kids...MAZDA!

Yeah... maybe I need to jump back into my other hobbies. Things that I do myself, that way I don't see the same people every day. Plus, work has been insane. I think that's what's dragging on me. I'm pulling crazy overtime at work, dealing with all sorts of BS... The last thing I want to do is deal with BS elsewhere.

I hit that point a while ago. I used to try and find every car meet possible, but now I just attend the NEPOC get togethers a few times a year, and the occasional Grand Am race/corral. I mean, when I was single and 20-21 I was really into it, but now at 28 with a house, a wife, dog etc, there are other things I need to be doing.

I'm at the same point. I'm focused a lot on cycling, and I drive my car once a week if I'm lucky. Right now I don't have much interest in doing anything to it unless somethings broken (gotta replace the starter at some point). Got a house to fix, a wedding to plan and some races to win.

We can chill on the balcony, enjoy a beer and listen to some music this weekend. You down?

That's the one pulled from the Millenia. Not sure what's going to happen with it. Better that it's not sitting on the garage floor anymore.

I think it is being overworked and not having time to yourself. As Mark, Chris and other have alluded to, we all get burned out. I am always in a constantly battle when it comes to meets locally, regionally and nationally. With Grand-Am, Mazdaspeed Motorsports, the Mazda teams and Bank of America, there is never enough hours in the day. so basically I get off work to go to work to make sure we have the best to offer our membership.

Make it a point to take some time to yourself and enjoy it and make the most of it.
