Can anyone help me out with some brake pads and rotors? I'm in NEED of changing the stock ones and replacing it. I need some suggestions. Please & thank you.

I used Centric Premium rotors because the rust prone areas are coted and look better longer. Any rotors will probably do.
Posiquiet pads are EXCEPTIONAL. Unbelievable stopping over OEM and hardly ant dust.

Stoptech street performance pads are awesome and not too expensive. I have centric coated rotors on the back and DRT coated and slotted rotors from ebay on the front...the setup works great!

What do you guys think about EBC Brake Disc? Whats the difference between slotted and drilled? For brake pads, I planning to put some Hawks HPS.

I ran 250.00 set of of Brembo C/S rotrs with Hawk HPS pads and got 75k miles out of them.....and not driving all easylike either. Pads wore very evenly and rotors were toast about time the pads got down to microns thick. Can't ask for much more than that for the price. 250 for 75k miles is worth it to me. A bit more dust than oem but washing car once a week made that a non-issue. Nothing else but stellar performance, even at end of life higher mileage on them.

Got F1 rotors with Lomandi Kevlar metallic pads right now. Been nice and quiet and less dusting than the Hawks. Same stellar braking performance. Guess we'll see how long they last. About 200 for this setup.

Have any suggestions on where I can find those Brembo's?

Walking,
Got mine at rockauto.com. If you call centric Co, they can tell you if there is a local supplier.

I have Stoptech Street Performance on rear. Stop excellent. But they dust ALOT.
Too much for me.
Posiquiets also stop Excellent, but almost no dust.
I will use Posiquiets from now on.

Guess not, bought them back in 2004 off ebay. Not seeing anything but 25349 for front and 25207 for rear and those are not drilled or slotted, which according to some are just unecessary for street use but I sure dug the c/s ones I had. Brembo site not showing c/s for P5s, only solid oe replacements. 08.7352.10 & 09.5584.10 are Brembo catalogue/part numbers.

I'm running R1 rotors right now, not F1. Brake Labs has this setup but not sure who has used them......

My finalized decision. EBC Drilled & Slotted rotors (front & rear) w/ Hawks HPS Brake Pads (front & rear). Any opinions?

I am not sure if it is necessary but I recommend rotors with directional vanes. They are more expensive but they dissapate heat quicker. They are a worthwhile upgrade on my truck because it is heavy and for my S2000 (so I can push it to the ragged edge). It may be overkill for a P5 for daily driving but if it is worth doing it's worth overdoing, right!?!

Old thread I know, but did all y'all that have the posiquiets, get the normal posi quiet ceramics, or did you get the posi quiet ceramics extended wear?

Replaced rear w/ new centric premium rotors and posi ceramic regular(not extended) pads. (Posiquiets on front) Now terrible as compared to a few months ago great.. Replaced rear pads w/ stopteck street as before. Still no good. Now replacing front w/ new rotors and stoptech street. Sick of replacing w/ previous components and never getting the same feel. Lots of $$$ spent on this car. Maybe it's just too old and not worth trying to fix (225K miles). Don't have a clue what you should do.

maybe you have a caliper problem

maybe you have a caliper problem

I drive aggressively, which is why I liked the quick stop setup of posi from and street rear.
When rears wore out I finally replaced w/ new calipers, street perf pads, and rotors, but lost the quick stop feel.
Should feel the same.
