Need opinions on a product/kit

The advantages are 1) I already did all the testing and design and 2) it will be shipped to your door with instructions in a proven, tested kit- no hunting for the parts or trial and error. I would like to think the extra $10 is worth the time it took me to test it and perfect it (seems simple, took a lot of trial and error though), the time to aquire all the parts, the up front cost to me for ordering enough for 20 or 30 instead of one at a time and the fact that it has instructions :).. Let me know and I will start to work out pricing and locate the parts in larger quantities than the one or two pieces the AutoZone has :)..
Joe
Does he say he is worried about it being copied?? No, he say's it is a convenience to us. You pay a little extra for convenience...I, for one, don't have the time to search the internet for these instructions that you say someone will upload, go to Autozone, buy the stuff, cut it to size, and install it. It's 25 bucks. Fine, why don't you wait till he sells this kit, wait until somebody scans and uploads it, and you go to Autozone and buy these parts. Cut them all to size, print me out a copy of the instructions(since my printer is broken), and mail it to me. I, in return, will send you the $12-$15. Hell, if you think it's worth it, why don't you just talk to kwiktsi, and see if you can distibute these for him?? I'm sure he wouldn't mind collecting the money and having you do all the work;)

Hmm, business opportunity. . .
Nah, then I'd have to do something

Hey there JoeP.
My turbo back exhaust will be ready Monday. Marco at Magnus as usual takes his time to do things right.
So, this is to say I have faith in you to do the same.
Let me know when this product of yours will be ready.
I'll be interested.

i for one, trust joe. he seems/is VERY reputable. i am willing to pay like $50 for a kit that does that. for $25, i increase the performance of my speed and improve the crap fuel map. wow joe, i think you sold me. :D I'm game for you kit and i stand behind you 100%. nate, why are you so negative?

Sounds like a good plan...what exactly does the kit include?

Joe-

I for one appreciate what you are up to in this little community. It's obvoius you are trying to help out and make an improved Speed. Hats off to you and let us know more when the time comes!

xsivspd, the magnus exhaust system doesn't include the downpipe does it? i would like to know cuz right now its between the jic 505 Ti and the magnus exhaust. if the magnus includes the dp, im goin for that. and joe, we want more info on how it works, a release date, and ease of install!!!

Joe, I definitely be interested along with your boost controller just as long as I can return the MSP to stock condition without too much hassles. Stupid me, I went and bought the extended warranty and all though it could be a good thing in the end.

I'm interested. I'd just like to know what it is and how it will effect my warranty. I want the boost controller too, but think I'll wait for a bit longer. Thank you Joe for staying with us and putting all this work in to benifit all of us. It is definitely appreciated

. . . which could be scanned and uploaded

Then I can easily say- my car runs fine, figure it out for yourself.

I am trying to help here, but it has to be worth my time for all the running around, ordering supplies, packing, shipping, etc...

I never lied about it being off the shelf readily available items, but if I never tell you what I did, you would be stuck with a poorly running car and with the "copy someone else" attitude, I doubt you'll ever figure it out for yourself...

I knew I made a mistake coming back here.

joe, please overlook some, err a lot of the idiocy goin on here. if you noticed he doesn't even own an msp. i too have limited my postings on this board as of late. if you would like you can start your own board on your own site and boot people that act stupid. but please don't leave the good people of the board hanging. if you do leave, please leave us someway to keep in touch with you.

For the rest of you....

As with any mod- if it is the cause of the breakage, it will void the warranty- even if it is not, they will try to blame it anyway :). With that said, it is also about 5 minutes to return to stock :).. You do have to drill a small (1/4" or so) hole in the air intake pipe (not 100% necessary, but it does complete the mod) for a fitting. If you put it in an inconspicuous spot, it will never be seen :).

Basically it is a bleed off from the vacuum line going to FPR.. It is a simple check valve, but how it installed took some thought and experimentation to get it to work how I wanted it to.. Clogged air filters and stock air boxes will cause it to lean out a bit more (less air needs less fuel :) ) and free flowing air filters will get it to lean out less... It is still more than safely rich, it just leans it out enough to take the edge off the stumble and prevent it from falling on it's face on warmer days.. Coupled with the weatherstrip removal and the exhaust on my car, it was priceless- on a stock setup, it will take the edge off the issues as mentioned.. I still recommend removing the weather strip from the cowl to let the hot air out from the engine bay..

Those of you that are serious, feel free to email me at kwiktsi@nycap.rr.com or PM me.. Those who just want to be unoriginal and copy, that's fine to- just hope that you are proud that you *worked so hard* to figure it out for yourself.. This is why a lot of people don't bother trying to help internet clubs as a whole- no appreciation for the time they spent working on THEIR OWN ideas...

umm i noticed that sometimes on a hot day over here in southern cali (wednesday comes to mind, 102deg) and i'm using my ac, my rpms rise and fall sporatically (sp) at a stoplight or when stopped for more than like 20 seconds(ie traffic on the 5). would your fix-it kit uhh fix-it?

Don't want to leave because the MSP needs support from people with a clue :).. At the same time, it sucks spending time screwing with all this, saving and copying part numbers, etc to offer it to others only for people to say s*** like that... I have been in so many arguments with my fiancee over the time spent researching s*** for this car and looking over wiring diagrams and stuff for other projects down the road- HELL- it is 3:55 am and I am here dealing with this s*** instead of lying in bed with her right now.. **** this.... And these pricks have to have that break my balls for trying to help???? I am sorry for beign rude, but christ, I can easily say **** you and just worry about my own car and not even give a second thought to what parts went in where because I have the "screw it, it worked" attitude instead of the "that worked great, where is the package so I can save the part # for these guys?".. I can easily give the part numbers, and let you guys hunt around for the parts, but I thought if would be easier for someone else to do the leg work.. I could also easily say screw this, let them figure it out for themselves... Actually, I already did in the last reply :).. Damn..

No :).. I think (have to hook it up to a wide band to tell) the car runs too rich at idle too and it kind of bogs down with the AC on and the electrical load of the fans. Rich mixture on a hot day makes no power- especially at idle :).. I may be wrong about why, I have yet to look into it.. My car does the same thing... I am more concerned with making power at WOT right now than idle :)..

Oh yeah- for those that asked, it will not affect mileage- if it does, it will increase it a bit while under boost from what it is stock because it is pulling some fuel out of the mixture.
