A star? who the **** buys a star? And who the **** has a right to sell stars in the first place? What a money scam that is.

I know you said no jewelery, but there is a really cool "star" stone you can get in rings. It's called a Lindy Star. Here's a sample of one off Ebay cheap ebay version
It's a deep blue color and has like a white crosshair "star" reflection in it. No matter what way you turn the stone, the white "star" always faces you. It's pretty when set in a simple silver band and fairly inexpensive too. I wouldn't get the one off Ebay, you can find much better, feminine ones at local jewelers.
You could also research local observatories. many offer nightime tours romantic tours where you can take a walk to view the stars, have a light picnic, then head off to the observatory and view them through the real telascopes.
