NEED HELP QUiCK

this may sound a little strange but i just got a Mp3 player installed into my Prot5 and my cousin who drives a 97 Miata wants the in dash 6 disc. Does anyone know if it is possible for this to work. I know they are both double din and will technically fit, but what about the wiring... my cousin has a cd/tape/radio Combo in two peices in the Miate. PLEASE LEMME KNOW SOON

The wiring lug won't work. THe P5 uses a new wireharness that came out in I believe 2001 the 97 Miata uses the older 2 piece mazda harness. It may be possible to hack in though if you hard wire your new deck, cutting off the factory harness you could hard wire it to your buddies miatas car after cutting off his harness.

how would i do that

is there any way i can get a different harness... my cuz is try to call Performance Buyers club to figure it out... I am sure we could figure it out... i am just tryin to make some money back from the friggen expensive MP3 Player

The problem harness is the one that connects to the factory radios. You already have the harness you need to make it work in his car, Its in yours. Cut off he plug going into the back of your 6 disc and cut off the plug going to his factory radio. then connect your factory plug in place of his old one. Your new MP3 player came with a new plug that goes into it. You need to then hard wire that plug onto your wire instead of using an adapter.

Do you have the wiring chart for the in dash 6 disc stereo in the p5?
