Need for Speed

Isn't your car producing more downforce at higher speeds, caused by more pressure flowing over the top of the car which is pushing the car more into the road? I know that mostly depends on your cars aerodynamics but I agree I would be pissed if I couldn't do more than 120mph. Maybe if you know a mechanic with a newer scanner he could take it off. Or you could try looking thru here LOL.

Yes the wing in the back is actually intended to apply downforce at higher speeds but it can only do so much.... the bottom of the car needs to be designed in a way it wont become a wing.. once the downforce on top of the car plus the weight of the car becomes less than the upforce from the bottom of the car you're pretty much screwed... most our cars wont be doing the head over toe flips you see some racecars do but a lot of cars get very floaty at high speeds.... having said all that the main reason for the governors are tire ratings...

New sig Evo? I like =)

I've got a friend who is GOOD with photoshop. :D I need to have him make a sig pic with both cars... that would be very cool.

On the Evos the wing does produce downforce but even that isn't enough sometimes. The Evo 9 models come with a vortex generator above the rear window that creates vortices and bring airflow down to where the wing is for yet additional downforce.

The bottom of any car can be an aerodynamic nightmare, figuratively speaking of course.

I was wondering what those were, I was thinking a diffuser of some sort but not that, good stuff. Yea I agree tho the 3's aren't the most aerodynamic vehicles and without a suspension upgrade and better tires I wouldn't recomending trying any high speed runs either.

rubber...

I have my set of Pirelli P600.
Sweet tire. No wet weather traction though.
Looking into something a little better for this summer [once the snows come off]
Any suggestions?

What size tire do you have now? The reason I asked is that I just looked at tirerack and I only saw the pirelli P600 in a 235/60ZR15 size. Is that what your running?

i won't be getting a MS3 cause i'm broke....and i can't get a race car..

so - helpful advise would be much appreciated.... :)

OH and the 3 may not be designed for the same speed - but my skill makes up for the difference.

(no) think some needs to go to a track and find out what real racing is.

remember that, you're not in a race car so don't drive like one

fixed ;)

You're gonna dog me forever aren't you? (lol)

What I meant to say was that it started with the IXs... I don't think the VIII MRs had them. Of course I'm probably wrong again...(uhm)

lol, the 8 MRs do have them. working in conjunction with the vortex generator there's a little lip thing on top of the spoiler too. i forget what it actually does but it's just a little rubber like strip

OK the Lip on the Spoiler I KNOW started with the IXs. I always forget when stuff came out because I got the 2003 VIII and we didn't get a lot of the cooler stuff they added later.
