Wondering if you all know anyplace i can get a 1 -.5 karot emerald cut almost perfect Diamond. has to be near flawless in color too.

I need it for a very very low price!!!

lol i was just there over christmas. that is one shady looking side road. saw this Jew with a eye peice looking over a diamond in the street and a bunch with brief cases and s***. The stores were so guady though so we just walk by fast and didn't even look twice.

I am mainly hoping to find something online or a hook up!

agree with micah, i wandered down those streets a few times, jewish guys everywhere and lots of expensive looking stuff. tiffany's also isn't too far away if the diamond district doesn't work out, but it's a bit expensive

Why not wait until you can afford a proper ring. What if your fiance or her family is referred to this thread where you were searching for a budget ring? Doesn't speak too well about how you plan to financially support a family.

Lets clear finances up real fast....

We decided on saving for a house. Ring is just a symbol. i wanted to do a saphire like the old days but she wants a diamond because i already gave her a diamond promise ring. Im old fashioned.

Budget has no meaning... the diamond will be around 4K and then there is the platnium ring. I just want a good deal. malls are rip offs and i had a friend that got a damn good diamond of the net.

Finacially i am alllll set! joker!!!!

I'm in NJ - also looking at buying my first house. From what I'm told - "First time home buyers" have all kinds of stuff available. Though right now, I'm noticing that any place I like is at least $250,000 for a house and about $225,000 for a townhouse/condo type thing.

At the money I'm currently making (lil over 75) it's doable, and I know it's the responsible thing to do - but goddamn do I wanna buy a new car.

Damn - nice income. Got me beat by about 10k on the books. I only made about 5k doing independant consulting (cash) last year though. Still gets declared though - cuz it just ain't worth the risk IMHO. The raises I'm asking for this year will total 15k, though I don't think I'll get everything I'm asking for - I never do.

I have to find a starter home in a not grat area and fix it up for 3 years then sell and build my way up to a nice place if i chose to stay in MD

I could go to tampa and pay 125 for what i would pay 550 for here.

Hence the deal of a lifetime on the ring!!!!

She wants to get married before the house and kids. I want the opposite for the tax breaks!

If you want to look for something online:

Mondera and Blue Nile are the most reputable online diamond stores.

Get a diamond that is certified and you'll be set.

if so you need lots of LAN liek a gigabit Etho and what are you running off it? any applications or just files like Word docs and excel sheets?

Yeah, I was for a short time considering moving to Florida for an IT position in a medium sized company. When it came down to actually putting pen to paper, the money I was told (65k) was not the money on the paper (50k). To move down that far away from home - not a risk I'm willing to take. I've heard too many horror stories about moving south and struggling just to make it back.
