To all clubs....let me know what state(s) you cover, I'll add you.
hey, what about intense performance
we are obviously in south florida, (the southern most counties, Palm beach, broward, miami-dade).

To the planners and anyone else involved in setting this up-If you know ANYONE involved in any sort of media (print, TV, etc......) start kissing ass now! Even if it's your friend's cousin's brother's girlfriend. Imagine the publicity! Spike TV is made for this kind of sh*t, with all of their automotive programming.
Just a thought.

yeah, entry would cover hotel reservations... the individual stops would have to be up to the individual clubs to sort out... donation basis, unless you want to include a lil money from the entry fee for the clubs... what else... dunno... lol

haha true..but that would be REALLY expensive..TV air time..? yikes..The entrance fee would be for the hotel reservations.
Maybe, just maybe, Mazda NA might help out. If you could get them some details once everything is sorted out, they MAY be interested in some sort of sponsorship. Publicity sells, afterall.
Just another thought.

Yea I will let Mazdasport magazine, and Mazda Fuel magazine know. As posted earlier I will see if we can have a BBQ at Mazda R&D for the event, as well as a tour. My company has also worked with Spike TV, so I will see if I can get them interested in the idea as well.
Do we have a date and schedule on this yet so I can make all the above arrangements?

Let's cut the small talk and get the primary details worked out!

1. This thread has been moved to Mazda Forums Events + Media News

2. SpicyMchaggis...We need a start DATE! Steph has some hookups (COUGH MAZDA NA COUGH) that can really help make this event a reality!

Let's work on the start date 1st...the rest will follow! (thumb)

(attn) the earlier we set the date, the more members that can schedule their time and attend.

Lets aim for mid june. Give all us stupid high school and college kids enough time to get out of school and haul our asses out there.

What about making this a charity run to benefit a group, such as the American Cancer Society. We could have people sponsor us for each mile we drive, that way those who want to drive a little or a lot can participate. I think it would also be easier to get media support and corporate sponsorship this way. A hotel chain could donate rooms, a gas company the gas, etc... in return we could magnet their company logos on our cars for the run, what company wouldn't want "free" good publicity. I have some other ideas to get this off the ground. Just a thought I had this morning. I'm willing to put some work into the run.

That's a damn good idea mp3tlh. I always love free s***, and companies have invested a lot more money in a lot more stupid and pointless s***. It's worth a try anyway.

it is a good idea in theory but while i was out waxing my car something came to me, that the cancer society wouldn't want the publicity if we are racing across the country breaking laws and getting tickets on the road. of course thats up to each driver, but its something to think about.
