Seems like the footlong exhausts comin out the side of that AMG might slow it down a bit. How fast you gotten those bad boys up to? Lol.

Looks to be the same car as mine, HPI Nitro RS4.
I've spent allot of time making my custom .21 big block HPI Savage enigine fit in the RS4-2.
It's well worth it!

NOTE: I've added many more parts to the car so the pics aren't 100% up to date.

The hobby sure is a money pit.. I have well over $900 invested. The .21bb is a high torque offroad engine with approx. 6 times the horsepower as the stock .15fe.
Plenty of torque = GREAT drifter (no pvc required)

The .21 and the 2-speed gear ratio have enough power to whitesmoke the tires (belted x-patterns).

ENJOY!

I have a super rs4 with a megatech sh-8 port turbo .21 engine. I know megatech is not the best but the car hawls ass. I also have a serpent centex clutch on it, yes on the rs4;) I love that s7 body. Oh i got the conversion kit from bruckner hobbies. I also have a big block .15 in the rs4, i'll take some more pics tomorrow. I spent 140.00 today on parts for those too. I want to sell em but i cant (wont) like em to much.

AWESOME. I got my Wolfpack Radicals adjustable motor mounts from Bruckner Hobbies.

It's a cevec pipe, I rode along side it doing 55. I'm not sure what the super is doing but if i had to guess id say about 60 or 65

Whats funny is i bought a set of anodized motor mounts from tower hobbies for a nova .12. This was after a bought the mouts from bruckner for the .21. I had a big block .15 which is in a .21 case that i wanted to mount on the rs4, but i wasn't gonna pay another 55 bucks for some damn mounts. Anyways the mount i got from tower i turned it upside down and the big block was able to mount with those mounts from tower.

There was a guy on ebay who did the exact same method with the .12 mounts.

I'm out, ttyl.

wow, those look hot. around how much is it to get one of those stock?? with the saleen S7 body??

$300 stock for nitro ready to run (RTR)
Saleen s7 body for $20

What he said. Which radio are you using? I'm using the airtronics M8 for the super and just the el cheapo futaba for the other one. The m8 was 300 alone but well worth it, it has abs along with a s*** load of goddies.

5 of my cars...tc3 and nrs4 3 with race and show bodies...i also have a micro rs4 that is not pictured...

t-maxx 2.5
hpi nitro rs4 3 type ss
traxxas rustler
team associated tc3
traxxas spirit
hpi micro rs4

hmm, good thread. I love these cars, and maybe someday I'll have the money to invest in one..they are so much fun..my friend has one, and it hauls ass

how fast can a stock one go? how about the one with the .21 bb?.
sorry a noob here, how about drifting, can you do it with the stock one??

Futaba Magnum Sport AM
Mine went about 35mph stock with the .15fe.
Now it goes about 50mph with the .21bb. I can easily make it go 75+mph if I got an on-road .21 engine.... but then I wouldn't have a TON of torque to drift with rubber tires.
And yes, you can easily drift with the stock engine. All you have to do is purchase 2" PVC pipe and cut (4) 1" rings for tires. Wrap some electrical tape arounf the wheel and push the PVC tires on. Now you have a drifter!
To make your "drift set-up" better, get really hard springs in the rear and set the camber to negative on the front. So the front wheels will look like this / \

Enjoy

serpent, have u checked out rccaraction.com?...they had this project where they got a super nrs4 to hit speeds around 120 or so...had some really crazy mods to keep it from collapsing on itself at those speeds...
