2006 Mazdaspeed 6
my speed 6 is cursed. within the past 4 months, its been hit 3 times. 2 were hit n runs and the 3rd i got t-boned. also my windshield cracked from dump truck debris and i got a flat tire two days ago. i feel like i dont belong with this car and im mad about that. i loved this car but with my recent luck my love has been drifting away. :(

...and where are you going with this? Sorry to hear about your luck man.

Get everything fixed, detail it out, and buy a mod, and hopefully your feelings will change about it.

I know how you feel...the other day I was doing some basic maintanence, prosport guage, and xm radio on the ms6, and everything was going wrong...and Im not a car newb by a long shot. That night I felt like crap about the car, just not excited about the car at all. The very next day, we had a blizzard here and some d-bag cabbie lost control and came across my nose twice. The 6 handled amazingly well! Never lost grip, abs kicked in, traction contoll kicked in and allowed me to slow and swerve into the next lane without any drama. In any of my past cars I would have fish-tailed from that maneuver.

Moral of the story, when your feeling down about the car, just go drive it and give it a chance to put a smile back on your face.

Sounds to me like none of those accidents were your fault, did you get police reports? Your insurance should cover that, and possibly even your deductible...

yeah the guy who t-boned me covered his part, but there were no witnesses/cameras that saw the other people hit me n leave. so i dont know what to do about that.

Dude, you gotta call and file a police report and get a claim. It might be too late, but that's common sense. Even if you don't act on the police report, the paper trail is necessary for your insurance to show that it wasn't your fault.

I know how you feel. I was driving home last summer and out of nowhere a rock flew up and chipped my windshield. It was smaller than the size of a dime. Safelite came out to 'fix' it and ended up cracking it out. Over the winter, the crack moved towards the middle of my windshield. When I called to see how much it was to replace, the company said 350 dollars!

By the way, the standard Mazda 6 windshield will fit the MS6 perfectly and will cost probably 100 dollars less. The only differences are the mirror mount and the VIN notch. The guy who replaced mine used a propane torch to melt the wrong one off and mounted my original. That and the VIN number notch does not line up correctly. I just had them keep the regular 6 windshield on and they can blow me if they think I'm paying 350+ for a "special windshield" with the VIN notch slightly to the left.

Hit and runs suck. Some people just have no respect! I have been hit twice, once in the @$$ end by a DB 16 year old in mommy's car not paying attention, and once was a minor hit and run that F'd my rear fender right over the wheel well. Crumpled and took the paint off down to the metal. I think someone backed into it and took off. Never saw it happen, called my insurance company next morning when I noticed it, after flipping out and swearing in the street because the car had about 3k miles on it. Because I called right away, I got it covered. Sucked, but I wasn't going to pay because someone else was a @$$hole.
How long ago did this happen? It's worth a shot to call them, you're in the same boat even if they say it's too late. just my $.02
