I remember being on hold pissed off for some reason, and the song "Had a bad day" came on and I was even more pissed off.

lmao seems like they wouldnt want that in their playlist. I would have liked to hear Deftones "shove it" song while on hold, I probably wouldnt be allowed to ever call back!

......(drive)
(help) I wouldnt mind using my car to do this to some people right about now

They might like that though (boom08) well not the bill part ;)

I just gotta say calm down man...there are much worse things in life. What is getting pissed off yelling at people going to accomplish? You'll look like an impatient dick to everyone involved. Your car will get fixed and they will resent you every time you arrive. They will deny you other border-line warranty work due to your mods.
If you were nice and expressed concern instead, your car would still get fixed, and they wouldn't hate your guts and could possibly have a dealer that is pretty cool about your mods.

If you were so concerned about your car, why didn't you tighten it up a bit yourself? It just seems that if this was really a problem for you to be without your car or have it in the shop you would have tried to prevent it yourself. I'm not saying you're to blame, but it's something you did have some level of control of.

Bottom line, it sucks, I hope that it doesn't happen to me but I will continue to monitor mine. Mazda will make it right with you regardless if you're a nice guy or not. A level headed person is much easier to deal with, and trust me, Karma comes back around. Good Luck.

lol I always have to look back through threads now and try and remember my posts cuz they get deleted and I dont even remember wtf I posted lol

and your point is..............?

I'm just saying this is pretty bad, like it's a thread about some thing very bad with mazda. Obviously there are going to be a lot of jabs at mazda and I don't think they should be deleted. Or atleast it doesn't seem off topic/out of line in a thread dedicated to some thing like an engine falling out.

It's a cool car, especially the OP's. But, ever since people brought it home they have known the motor mounts are rediculas. There are videos them moving around ALOT. You pretty much have to upgrade them, not drive your car, or have this happen.

I dunno my motor mount failure experience was quite pleasant. It broke on a sunday, i called mazda and got a tow truck for the car, next i called my buddy the parts manager, he had the service manager call me and thery offered to get me a loaner car that day even though everything was closed (dealership).
I said it wasn't a big issue mainly cause i had no work for the next couple of days. I went in on monday and they pushed my car into the bay. they fix the car and gave it back to me. I was a little pissed when i first saw the car in the work bay, mainly due to the fact the car had a new dent in ithe hatch from the mechs pushing it into the work bay. i picked up the car and was asked to bring the car back ASAP for a PDR guy to pull the dent for me.
I showed up the next day and after 1 hour i had my baby back to me good as new.

I didn't pissy with anyone, i didn't DEMAND that the middle man stop the world for me, i just acted calm played the customer part and complained to everyone else, but the dealer.

Mazda HQ or customer service got one hell of an earful, though i did explain to the lady i wasn't personally mad at her. I got a t shirt and key chain, a road side assistance bag and the first aid thingy all from mazda.

Personally my experience wasn't bad at all. it shouldn't happen, but it did, so i just dealt with it and everything turned out fine.
I you can calm yourself to just relax take your rental car and continue on. i believe you can get reimbursed for any missed time at work or if you were on a road trip up to 300.00. read your manual.

Good luck and hope the dealer isn't a dick to you. Oh and the fact that you brought the car in previous and the dealer did nothing, MEANS nothing. Dealers are setup to be a Reactive unit for the car business. NHSTA and manufacturers have to be Proactive. thats how it has always been.
Think about all those people that got hurt using firstone tires on explorers...... the dealers did nothing UNITIL the GOV't and manufacturer stepped in. THEN s*** got done.

I dont care how many times someone says its not a big deal, maybe you have dealt with countless problems on countless cars but I havent. If my motor mount went I would be livid, especially if I had it at the dealer a couple of times to be looked at like the op did. And he shouldnt calm down, they clearly didnt take his concerns seriously(the service department), and because of that he has to go through a whole bunch of unneeded crap now. Raise hell brother.

hey voicekoil, i am the guy from cardomain that ordered my wife a 2008 ms3. what did you car sound like when the mount failed? i mean, what should i tell my wife to listen for incase this happens so she doesn't drive it any farther. also, i looked at the nhtsa website and there is an ongoing investigation on the motor mount problems, i hope they upgrade them for the 2008 models. good luck with you problem man, i still can't believe any car with 7500 had a motor mount failure.

you prolly wont have a problem, the motor mount failures seem to be from a first year batch from what ive read

is this something that we are theorizing, or can this be confirmed.

It'll take more than an engine falling out to stop me from buying one. I'd rather have a possibly faulty MS3 than one of the alternatives. Unless Angelina Jolie is one of the alternatives. Then it wouldn't matter how nice the MS3 was, it'd just have to do without me.

Sounds like they are starting to move the ball a little bit(granted this is dated in march) but i'm surprised with only 4 people on record

I'm not that surprised. There are probably quite a few people that don't even know that they can file a complaint. Either that or they don't know what the NHTSA is.
