I reported mine already, even got a call about it from someone at NHSTA. I told them what happened and what i thought COULD have happened if it was at a higher speed.
Haven't heard anything else.
For the record i was mad that it happened but i also had to laugh since my car broke right after making a smartass comment on the forum about another members mount failure. "who's next" was my comment. Couples days later i was "that" guy.
Should owners be concerned? YES. Does mazda need to do something? YES, Are they doing something about it YES! But its like this, NOT all cars need a fix, some will never have a problem, so its financially better for them to fix the problems one at a time as they come, than doing a massive recall. Remember in the end its not about the customer, ENTIRELY. the bean counters have a big hand in this.
HAS ANYONE GOTTEN HURT?
WHAT WAS THE FASTEST REPORTED SPEED OF A MOUNT FAILURE?? DId it cause a wreck?
HAS THERE BEEN ANY TYPE OF ACCIDENTS?
DID ANYONE ACTUALLY LOOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE???
When these questions start having statistics behind them, then i'll raise my head in concern, until then, I'm just having fun driving the hell out of my MS3.
Oh last thing, ok you get mad, you get frustrated, you get mouthy, and then what.............(not saying anyone has done this just a point)...... you feel better? Its like road rage, I love creating situations where people get PISSED at me for my driving and then when they roll up on me to get mouthy. i roll down the window and very nicely and with sympathy...... APOLIGIZE. It shuts them up everytime.
Now i have succesfully drove the way i wanted, pissed you off, and calmed you down in no time flat. Its awesome (shocked)
