Hey,
I know some of you guys here on the forum have MX6's and have tuned them quite well. My Father drvies one and I was looking to add some performance (perhaps in the suspension area) to it for christmas. She's quite loose around corners, I know she has about 100thousand miles on here, but its still a fantastic car. If you guys have a website or someplace to find some decent parts for the mx6 let me know. Thanks.
Cheers,
Moose

A few things that may help you out:

www.probeparts.com/parts

It's a listing for Probe parts. The MX6 shares the same suspension and drivetrain as the Probe.

www.mx6.com

A forum such as this for MX6s.

I'm honestly rather surprised at the condition of the handling. They handle wonderfully normally. If it's noticeably worse than stock, perhaps there's something loose or broken.

Probably nothing is loose its just Moose drives an MP3 and a MX-6 is not the same level as the MP3. Or maybe i am just talking ou my ass. Always a possibility... But just something to think about
Peace,
Zane

Probe's and Mx-6 handle great. Bbut my Probe was nowhere near the level of my P5. So there shouldn't even a comparison to the MP3.

Thanks guys,
Yeah, I am used to my mp3, thats why it feels so loose. But it does have potential. Particularly in the power area.

Moose, Is your father's a 2nd gen (93-97)? I-4 or V-6? I had a 95 LS loaded which I sold with 144K on it for my Protege5. Even the 5 will out-handle an MX-6. Definitely check out http://www.mx6.com it's a good board. I've been around there since it began.

One of the best suspension upgrades is to upgrade to Tokico Illumina adjustable struts. Your other options are Tokico Blues (standard) or KYB GR2 struts (I recommend against). There are several springs available from stock to lowered to fully adjustable.

Also consider the condition of the sway bar end links and control arm bushings on a car with considerable mileage. Those items ended up wearing out on my car around 120K.

Its a 95 LS V6. Thanks for the detailed description mts3. I have since posting this thread, joined mx6.com and hopefully will be checking into stuff soon.
Cheers,
Moose
