MS6 possible sighting

Any updates??

BTW, I didnt realize the Legacy GT was so cheap!!!!! $25000, it's an awesome price. If you guys get a chance check out the Gialla lip kit for the Legacy, it f**ken awesome. I think this might be my weekend ride :D

The nicest thing about the legacy, is it uses a "detuned" STi engine. The performance upgrades for the legacy are going to be utterly sick.
The problem is getting one of the damn manufacturers to actualy build the products. They all have them developed but many are 2-3 months from being able to ship anything for even the STi.

Saw a legacy GT on the road yesterday...very nice car, imagine if a WRX and BMW 3-series had sex, this would be the offspring. Didn't look that big either, which I liked...deffinitly not a pig like the altima and the new accord.

have you been in the back of the altima?...I didn't realize what edmuns ment by cramped back seat in the 6 til I saw that in the altima you had like a good foot and a half of legroom.

Anyone considering the legacy, make sure to test drive it a few times first. One of my friends just got back from test driving it, and was disappointed.

Looks really really good on paper, doesn't feel that good in reality.

Some of his comments were...

1) Lack of leg room, and lack of available space.
2) Poor acceleration before turbo spoolup. (Felt like budget 4 cylinder)
3) High turbo spoolup rpm (4000???)
4) Interior felt cheap.

Its funny how everyone speculates at a MS3 or MS6, when I have posted numerously that Mazdaspeed will not be releaseing anymore 4 door cars. This was directly out of Kelvin Hiriashi (lead Mazdaspeed engineer) mouth at SEMA last year.
RX-8 has 4 doors. :)

1) I have to go drive this thing and see about the leg room.
2) If it is the STi engine then like mine it is likely pretty weak without the turbo but you hit boost instantly and it will built quick at 3K RPM. The real trust hits form 4-6K. Its soooooooo nice :D (STi)
3) This is hard to believe, I like that mine starts spooling at 2500 rpm. Anyone used to turbo cars would be very pleased with the Sti's repsonse although if they are used to american V8 stly e engines then then the lack of low rpm power will likely be anoying. HOwever they just need to learn to keep the car at 3K instead of 2K. Staying at 3K while crusing, I can basicly lunge in a heart beat, although 4K is more fun :D
4) I have to see it. Compared to most other japanese sedans these days I find the subaru interior much nicer. Its not the same BS silver ABS plastic crap. The same reason I like the Mazda 3 interior. Oh aqnd good luck trying to get some of the subaru's pop clips out. What a damn battle that is!

Sorry to steal the glory man. Just got so excited when I saw the article! And dudeondacouch, your Frank avatar is scary, that was one creepy character in that movie.

The MSP was released like that as well. The dealers are only going to get a couple each, which should sell instantly. Its not like the dealers need any special planning for this car, they each get 2.

The mazdaspeed miata was annouced with the dealerlisting. The dealers were told of its existence with the release of the 2004 year changes. There is no listing for the mazdaspeed 6. Neither normal dealers, mazdaspeed dealers, or even the "special" designation dealers are aware of it.

There is no listing for the Mazdaspeed 6. Its not coming out, it won't be available. It it does come out, I will stand utterly baffled and confused, and post a public apology to you in its own seperate thread.

But thats not going to happen. Its not going to come out, your going to blame your sources and their sources misinformation, and everything will go back to normal until the end of 2005, when the same thing happens AGAIN.

Then of course If I'm wrong. I'll post a public apology, and run out and buy one instantly :).

Wow, someone's sources were fairly accurate, and someone else just got owned!!
Just kidding... it's usually the other way around. (laugh)

Note the HP rating. Thats the part that proves I had sources and not just a lucky guess. 280 was the expected HP, so the fact that it was in the 270's shows I had inside info.

Anyway, sounds awesome doesn't it? (burnout)

the other thread shows a 6 MPS not a MS6...I don't wanna even know what the insurance on that puppy would be like (boom07)

If you read the Autoweek article, it says that the name of the car is unconfirmed. Mazda hasn't said whether or not they're going to call it a Mazdaspeed or MPS. My guess would be Mazdaspeed since Mazda has been trying to market that name as its performance division in N. America.

And Crossbow better start saving up some money, looks like he's going to have to "run out and buy one instantly ". (poke)

Is there any way, shape, or form to make a turbo spool before 3K??
