wait, you powerslide with the ebrake on?? or do you pull the brake to enduce the slide, then set off and power through the slide? don't know why you'd leave the ebrake on while powersliding?
i think a good way to check would be go to a large lot, and put some fast food trays under the rear wheels (or some pieces of cardboard i guess), yank up the ebrake and go for it. have someone watch the rear or video to watch and see if the rears spin the pieces out or it just slides.
seems like an easy test?
You have seen Tokyo Drift way too many times! You're car has to be hating you for it!!
Dude, not everywhere is a 4WD dyno available... don't call it "stupid cheap" because you are privileged.![]()
i drift my speed quite a bit, and sometimes i find myself on the gas and the e-brake at the same time. and i maintain a powerslide while doing that...
how are you able to tell that your rear wheels are powere "at least some" while you are in a drift? i just don't get that. "at least" would seem to imply you don't feel the drift continuing, so there is no tire spin....so seems just as likely the front wheels could be pulling it all...no? or possibly you have some vids of the rears spinning while you are on the ebrake?
it's seems a definite answer would be how i explained, rather than an impression during a drift. i understand you (and many i'd guess) would not want to do this, but doesn't mean it's not possible. i don't see many dyno guys even wanting to risk it....but again, i have yet to see it unproven.
