hey all, I'm new to the sceen. Got my P5 in Dec. I was thinking of upgrading the entire suspension to that of the MP3.

One question. If the Shocks are a special one off (they have a special renforced mounting bracket for the sway bar) how would you go about getting replacements is 5 years or so when they wear out??

I think the mazdaspeed adjustable shocks have the mounting bracket for the sway bar, lemme find a pic.

There ya go. Isn't that bracket that is facing the bottom of the pic for the sway bar thing?

Bumble G,
I understand Tokico is supposed to have made a number of spares for Mazda. Mazda is required by Federal Law to maintain spare parts for a certain number of years. I don't know how many years that is any more but it is longer than most of us will keep our cars.

As far as I have been told/heard/read is that the shocks/struts on the MP3 have different mounting brackets ( or some crap like that ) than any other shocks/struts and you cant get them through Tokico. Only way to get them is through your Mazda dealership.... Pretty sure I am 100% on this info if not post me wrong.. Damn sounds like I should be posting in the Rumor forum ... heh

correction:

the mounting brackets are reinforced, AND the endlinks are longer. mazda should have spare parts for these...otherwise they'd be in deep s***.
