Yeah your sig pic is a tease.
I found a few pics. They are from last year, I't looks a lot neater now. The intercooler is crooked in the picture but like I said, these were taken right after the turbo was installed. I need to take some new pics!!!!!

No worries man! HAHAHA thats funny that you got into pocket bikes too. My friends up in Chicago have become obsessed with those things. They have done all the bolt ons and have come to the point where they are trying to find a way to hook up some nitrous to it!!! HAHA
I laughed at a guy at work that bought one. Then I rode one. End of story. From what I've heard, you can only use nitrous once or twice before you have to go through the motor(kaboom). I wiped out pretty good last week. Road rash everywhere and a sprained thumb. I can't wait to get back on it again! They are addicting! Oh yea, I had it painted the same color as my car! It looks sweat.
When did you get the c/f hood? I can't remember if I've seen it. Looks nice!

Nice! Yeah these guys did some kind of forged internals or something to prep it for the nitrous??? I dunno... this is what I hear at least. Umm i got the hood used a while back... Thanks.. I like it as well, except when I got it, it was warped a little on the passenger side. So I had to use those ST00piD hood pins to hold it down. :( thats the only part I dont like. Ive done a bunch of other little things to the car too, but right now Im saving up for the best mod of all. So when I get it I can come up there and give you a challenge. :) hehe.

awesome thread. :)

glad i found it b/c i got run off the road over the summer and the front bumper cover will need to be replaced (along w/ the passenger c-pillar panel), and im thinking about having an MP3/MSP bumper put on instead. so thanks for the "front only" info...hopefully i can come up w/ the scratch to cover what ins won't!

question: the first post says, "you can cut your plastic bumper to fit the fog light pockets of the bumper cover." so there is a plastic bumper underneath the cover? and a structural member as well? the "rebar/bumper reinforcement" is plastic or steel?

no need for fogs. the left foglight opening looks perfect for a CAI...i wonder if the space is there to route the tubing.

the first part I dont understand... you dont have to really cut anything.
Underneath the Bumper is a reinforcement bar that is made out of metal. That piece is gonna cost just as much as the bumper. Also Since you are thinking of doing the front bumper conversion just to reiterate. You are going to need a new upper grill, lower grill, rebar, bumper cover, left and right wheel wells.

Yes. But You will have to do some custom work on the piping.

yeah, i figured. the custom piping is no sweat so long as the space is there.

i was quoting directly from the first post in the thread, which seemed to suggest that the "bumper reinforcement" was some sort of plastic thing, or that the new bumper could be made to work w/ the old bumper reinforcement (or "rebar," as i guess some call it). when i hear "rebar," i think of steel rods inside concrete.

if ins is buying me new wheel wells and a bumper cover (and a foglight) anyway, i could possibly stomach springing for the rebar and grills. i don't use my foglights anyway.

thanks for the info. anyone have a P/N on the standard ES bumper cover? how about a P5 cover (or is it, as i assume, the same as the MP3)?

umm I think the P5 front bumper is actually a different number because of the side markers on the bumper itself. Or maybe they pop the holes afterwards.. Im not sure.. But sorry cant help you on the ES cover...

My bumper reinforcement is plastic. I believe the ES's are made of metal. I know the Speed's,MP3's and 5's are metal. I just cut out the edges of mine to keep the fog light pocket form hitting the reinforcement. If I were to do it again I would've just bought a new metal one but I had more important parts to spend my money on!

I'll be getting back to you hopefully THIS Saturday. I ended up not working last weekend. I'll als also you know how I do at the track. I finally got my boost controller spooling my turbo where I want it. I also borrowed my friends 15" Volks with drag radials. Those things are so light! Anyway, I'll hopefully get back to you Saturday.

I'll get you the part number and maybe a good deal on it if you give me dibs on your front lip.:) Let me know. Either way I'll get back to you on the number. You're looking for the 2003.5 one right?

Correct 2003.5 lip and I would give you my lip it just has to much stress cracks. Damn hurricane gutters in florida. I wonder why red necks put lift kits on.....\\

The part number is: 0000-86-C02-00 for the primered lip. It is available already painted but the Speed didn't come in red anyway. Mazda is out of stock right now but they have an ETA of March 21st. Is your lip urethyne(sp?) or fiberglass? Is it repairable? I'll pm you the price of the lip and maybe we can work something out with your damaged lip.

Yups, the 03.5 lip was nowhere to be found at any US dealer, so my friend had to get ours ordered from Japan. It took a little under a month to come in from there. But i got a good deal, $200'ish for a brand new 03.5 lip with the fog light grilles. And i looooove it.

Yea, some of the pre-painted ones are readily available but they are more money and for most of us, they'd have to be painted anyway.

yup. you actually dont *need* all those parts. you can get by without the splash guards, fog lights harness(they can be rewired, thats what i did), and license plate bracket...but i would recommend getting everything if you can.

did you reuse your front license plate bracket? in va front plates are required and i am NOT gonna get pulled over for that like they did for my tint (which from a previous owner who lived in a different state).
