motor build?

ok cool ill just stick with the stocker for now than and put the money towards new clutch and flywheel plus ems and a nice oil pressure gauge. Bump for mazda finally replacing my whole wiring harness for my car that they messed up before. No more check engine light and my abs will work again. Blizzaks for the winter too

Ye ill be putting more up soon of the motor once i get the block painted and i get a new valve cover for on top its still rapped from when i picked it up from the machine shop. Bump for new parts soon timing belt, water pump, new oem pulleys, fuel injectors 565cc

Also any recomendations as to a good wastegate to run with the gt2871r? Should i run open dump or just the stock wastegate that comes with it?

Open dump you wont make any boost. Use the stock one on it. What's the P/N of the turbo? Garrett's website sometimes tells you what it's set for. Does it have threads and an adjustable end on the rod?

No its non adjustable it looks like the one on my t25 except theres no threads or bolt on the rod.the number on the licence plate on the turbo is VG 0460J 14411-05U21 466071-3

You could cut the rod, thread it and get a long 1/4" nut plus a couple lock nuts to make it adjustable but external is better. I didn't realize your turbo was not a ball bearing unit. I guess it will make it better for rebuilds.

Maybe ill just chill with the external one idunno if i wanna spend too much more money modding just the turbo i still gotta buy all my timing stuff plus new injectors and a ems. Theres prob other stuff im forgetting too like gaskets and gauges plus oil lines
