Moody gas guage

Anyone else experience this?

It happens occasionally: I'll go to start the p5 and the gas guage will stay on empty - low fuel light on and everything - when I know that I've still got a half tank. I can turn it off and come back later & most the time that fixes it (like rebooting a computer). It doesn't happen often enough that I'm willing to go to the dealer for it yet, but I am getting curious as to what might be going on. Any ideas? Anyone had the same problem?

our gas gauge just sucks.....its just one of those things you gotta live with though yours might be worse than most.

I've never had a problem with my gauge, in fact, I find it pretty consistent...

Mine works fine, too, seems to be very accurate.

Yeah, mine has done it a few times. Not very many tho. Mainly, my only complain out of my car is the friggen transmission. It gets on my nerves so bad with all the notchiness....and the fact that I have already had to replace it doesen't set all that well with me, lol. oh well. But, out of 78,000 miles or so, I think my gas gague has done that same thing twice.
