Most car companies, including Mazda, will give new college grads or soon to be grads, a discount on new cars. In my case, I got $500 off of my car when I showed them my diploma. Usually you have to be within 6 months of graduating or have graduated less than 2 years earlier to get the discount.

Went to the dealership this past weekend to look at paperwork and see what else I need to do to finalize the deal.

Asked for a break down of the price/rebates here's what I got:
Price w/o tax tags: $21,000
Rebates: $2,000 for mazda on the move sales event $1,000 to finance through Mazda
Total with tax (I don't wanna finance through mazda and have my own auto loan): $23,468.50

I asked about mazda loyalty rebate and she said mazda doesn't do that anymore. Same response with the college graduate/good student discount. Does this sound really weird to anyone?

Last annoying step is to get auto insurance. Wish my driving record was better. (sad1)
