I'm not sure who was more shocked when the tach was reading... Dave, or myself :) Dave thought he was seeing things... it was pretty damn funny! :)

get the wiring done...get the wiring done.... no HALO 2 tonight... where is a better place to have the relays for the fuel pump and fans? i was thinking of inside the car on the drivers side right behind of the fog light switches, but im just wondering if you had a better place to mount them...

ill get them done tonight, make everything all purdy, put the hood back on, and hopefully get some road runs in!

wish me luck...oh and your email doesnt work steve, i got 2 not sent emails back :-P

Here you guys go... a few screenshots!!

The first one is view of the 3D fuel maps, the second is one of the data display real time gauge screens, and the last is one of the main status screens.

Enjoy!

Steve

Cool!

got the car on the road tonight and it ran pretty well... i just have to acutally tune the car and it should be all good.

its been really easy working on the microtech, installation and tuning. ive never done anything like this before (tuning or installation) and i must say im surprised at how easy it was/is. i just learned how to solder while doing this and am pretty pleased with everything ive done. ill take more screenshots with the car running and give it to steve later. a week or so and this thing should be tuned and running perfect...

ill keep you updated

Keola is on a REALLY rough base map.. so it's quite awesome that the car is more or less driveable off that base map. So the car was out for a spin... and has been on the road.. :)

Just a few more minor things here and the EMS will be officially out for you guys.

Keola and Dave drove around the town last night with the Microtech. Everything seems to be completely functional :). A couple last checks and then we can throw the meat to the dogs!

Have a good one,

Steve

I just drove around for the 1st time on my new setup as well last night. Glad to hear you are tossin' this out to everyone!! (thumb)

Very cool! :)

I'm just very pleased that our development cycle on this Microtech will end up being less than 3 months. very cool for such a big project!

Later,

Steve

less than 3 months? it hasnt even been a month yet since we've had it... so its even less than that!!!

ill get more done tonight...but as for now, its running pretty well. just have to "fine" tune it and i should be alllll good... i also have to wait for the wideband to come in, then ill get a lot more accurate readings

I was counting shipping and lead times :). I did do some development stuff while shipping.. so I should really count that :) LOL... but yeah.. it has been quick!

should be coming along quicker than it is... this cold that i just kicked and overtime at work really sets things back, but i will get more and more time in... i realized that maybe hooking the cruise control back up might help with tuning... as i can set it to stay at a certain rpm while driving... woohoooooo... i did some driving today and pretty much came out with the same results... i leaned it out too much to where it died while pushing in the clutch but fixed it later... more tuning to come!

We will go into limited release on the EMS's very very shortly. Keola hasn't encountered any problems as of yet, just some tuning things that are getting worked out. Once I get a couple last verifications and he can drive the car more we will be opening sales on the EMS.

Thanks!

Steve

Just wanted to give everyone an update on the progress. Me and Keola went out for a tuning session tonight and it went extremly well! With the wideband in it was even easier to tune the Microtech. We will have some NA maps with stock injectors ready very soon. Stay tuned!!! ;)

Dave

you beat me to it... and dave is making it sound a lot less exciting than it really is! THE CAR RUNS GREAT NOW! the maps we have are perfect for n/a use. we have a couple more things to perfect but its going great... i cant believe how good the car feels now...

yes.. stay tuned

since this is a really long thread and would take ages to read, can i confirm that with the microtech lt-8s you were able to keep all normal ecu funcions like instrument panel, air cond etc working?
