Media button

Use the Media button to enable an auxiliary input

I purchased the AuxMod and installed it. It provides a line level auxiliary input that you can use with most audio devices.

To enable the auxiliary input, you press the media button. The radio display changes and indicates that it is playing a cassette tape.

It's inexpensive and works great.

Woah, that's sweet! Three questions:

1) Do you have install pics? I have no idea how to remove the stereo.
2) Will this work with the Bose package?
3) If so, will the CENTERPOINT feature activate when you're using the AUX input?

Thanks!

Sorry. No install pics. The bezel is extremly hard to PRY off. Once you get the bezel off, it's just a mater of removing a few screws and the wires connected to the stereo. The install doc that is on the AuxMod site, has a picture of the radio and how to connect the AuxMod board.

Yes, it will work with the Bose package. That is what I have.

I,m not sure about the Centerpoint. I don't like the effect of that feature, so I don't use it. But, I'm sure that it will function just like when you are listening to a CD.

The Centerpoint does not work with Satellite radio so I would assume it won't work with the media button. Especially if the radio thinks it is playing a tape.

Wow! I emailed the Auxmod guys and they told me that it wouldn't work in the CX-7. They said it had a different connector. I guess that's not true. . .

Great news!
