hi, im looking to buy a new set of wheels. I was looking for 16 inch wheels but 16x8 are so rare. so 17 is the only option. Then, I wanted rota but no store can have them where i live.

So now mb weapon are cheap and look nice. I would buy them from discounttiredirect.com because i think they ship for free in canada.I m wondering if anyone know if 17 inch will look good with only tein springs(not so low) and if +28 on a 8 inch wide is too much.

im gonna roll my fender, but what tire size i should get? 205 or 195. what side wall?

Do you guys think it will fit with smaller tire and rolled fender?
thank you.

That's gonna be a hard offset to pull off but maybe one of the Cali "hella JDM aggressive flush as f#@k" guys can chime in.

o god on a +28...thats gonna be tough. i have +42 and i almost rub on a 17x7. i wont say impossible, but "not worth it" is definitely up there. maybe you should post pics of the wheels so others can help you find something similar.

Check this site out http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

with your new setup you will extend the outer lip 36mm (1.47 in) farther than the stock wheels, and 2mm less clearance on the inside. Take a tape measure out to your car and see just how far 1.5 inches is from the outside edge of your wheel, not the tire. That will show you how much room you have to play with for your tire selection. personally I would run a 215/40 or a 205/40 depending on how low you are

+28 will definitely poke in the rear, and a be almost perfectly flush in the front.

I test fit a set of 17x8 +35 and 17x7.5 +35 reverse staggered (8's in the front) and it was pretty damn flush.

I was going to do a 205/45 on the 8's. Check www.tyrestretch.com for how it would look.

Here's the fronts with 1.8 degrees negative camber:

I've got a 7.5 rim with a +38 offset and that's pretty much lined up with the fender. If it's just me and someone in the front seats I don't rub at all even around a hard turn. I'm still afraid driving with people in the back though. (fenders rolled)

So basically if you don't mind having your tires rub a lot, basically every bump. Then go for it. Don't expect to tuck though unless you're planning on adding a lot of negative camber. the +28 is definitely going to have a little poke to it though. I'll post some pics of my set up if you'd like

Also I believe the factory camber on our cars is -.82 degree's and I think there's a 1.00 degree of room for oem specs without wearing out your tires too much. So if you get -1.82 camber it shouldn't effect your tire wear. But I dunno if your tires are that important to you or not

your going to need to roll the fenders for sure and add camber to fit them in the rear but I think you'll end up with a poke more than anything

+28 will poke a good bit. Really depends on what tires u get. And those fenders will need to be rolled and pulled. I think the front will be fine with them. But the rear will need some work.

dude if your gonna order something off of the internet because you can't find what you want in stores around there (rota's etc...) than just buy what you wanted to buy originally off the internet

i ran a 205/35/18 or at most it was a 215/35/18 on my old 94 civic with a 3.5-4" drop and i tucked the living piss out of my fenders and i made it work with full turn radius, with enough work its not that hard to get wider wheels to fit good, i rubbed on the inside if i turned like 100% in any direction which i didn't do that often so i wouldn't worry about it much as long as your willing to work on the fenders alot to get it to clear

thanks guys! the problem is that it will cost me so much money for shipping. The only place that ship for free in canada is tirediscountdirect. still i will have to pay 160 of custom fees..and tirediscountdirect doesnt sell rota.

those +28's are gonna be close to hellaflush lol and if your on springs im not sure i would risk that since you dont have any adjustability if it rubs or stuff like that
they offer a higher offset?

yes, they offer +42 also. But if i bought some rims, i would go for a more aggressive look. I know +42 is not bad, but...

seriously, right now, i dont know what to do. im still at school so i dont make a lot of money but on the other side, i still live in my parents house so i dont have to pay for anything...

i know that +28 would be sick because you dont see it a lot(if at all on a protege).
