Mazdaspeed3 seats in MZ5?

I am toying around with buying some first-gen Mazdaspeed3 front seats and placing them in my 06 Sport Mazda5. I figure they fit - Car&Driver's Mazdaspeed5 had them in. Any ideas on what hurdles I will face? I figure the weight sensor in both, the seatbelt sensor may be involved, SRS airbag system may be involved. My model does have the seat airbags mounted.

Any experience here?

The seats themselves are no shorter than the stock mazda5 seats. I'm pretty sure the rails can be switched between the two. Thanks for your help though.

If you can get a pair for cheap, give it a try. I would consider it if I get my hands on a pair for cheap. I'm sure you can easily retro fit the seat and rails or add some spacers. The construction of a seat and rails are pretty simple. You will lose the arm rest but I think '06-'07 don't have it anyway, right?

Only the front passenger seat in the '06-'07 has no arm rest. The driver side seat and 2nd row seats have the armrest.

Let me know how that works for you. I was highly considering this mod myself. It looks to be a lot more supportive asnd comfortable than our stockers.

I'm debating it. There are a couple seats nearby for not too much, though I'd hate not having that sweet armrest.
