This piston thing is getting on my nerves,,, now i dont know what to get. I need something that will last and hold what we are going for.... I had Arias before and they were rock solid, they holded what car did on last dyno... Some say Wiseco is the best, some say Arias, now CP...... wtf ???????????????????

Wiseco's are definantly *not* the best. They are "better than stock" but they got nothing on CPs.

Wiseco's are 'cheap' forged pistons (nothing against anyone who runs them, they work well, but they are not in the same league as other pistons).

If you've dropped so much cash on the car already, whats a few hundred extra for a set of decent pistons?

Well is not about being cheap, is about where, how much, etc. i have no idea from where to get a quote on them since i need them custom. any ideas how much they run for and or where to buy them ? also why CP are so better than arias and wisecos ?

They said that the tolerances where a lot tighter. and they machine a lot of excess metal out of them so you get a super light and strong piston.

Get JE's.

hahaha just adding more options to confuse you more haha..

but those are what im running. everyone will have different opinions on their favorites, but JE and CP are among the best you can buy.

as for custom quotes, go to their websites and send them an email with what you want. that is the simplest solution for you.

Jesus Scott, more s*** to my mind !!!!!!!!! lol lol lol...... Now you say JEs..... why JE and CP better than Wisecos or Arias..

yes, i would love to know what's the best difference between arias and cp.

Bro, people walks in and left s*** in half... get this, get that, but no clue of why, where, how much etc.. I had Arias they were the damn s***, and you know it cause you have my pistons in your possesion, those bad boys took me to 515whp and 409 lbs torque..

what happened with those GERMAN custom build pistons ??

One of them got ****** up doing the break in process and now i dont trust the remaining 3 to boost 35 psi how i wanted... so i now need 0.40 over pistons but i need something that car hold what im going to trow at them.

get some cylinder sleeves man , don't let it at .40 over doesn't seem to be safe at 35 psi you planning.
Didn't they come with some warranty ?

Have you heard of, Hi performance or racing engine dont have any Warranty ? Well thats what they told me.. But im taking them to court for it...

Any more info to back up that comment of yours... Actually ive been told the ARP studs can only take a maximun of 35 psi before lifting the head. so ill be in the 30 firm psi and 35 as a spike...

Well im going to sleep, its already 2 am here and tomorrow i have s*** load of work to do... i hope by tomorrow i have more answers to my questions and where and how much ........

apart from all the reasons previously stated, the actual metal they use (high silicon content i believe) leads to a quieter piston during warm up.

I wouldn't say they are "soo" much better than arias... nore would i put arias in with wiseco's (arias are much much better than wiseco pistons - and are pretty common in many very high output engine builds).

There are plenty of other options available to you - someone mentioned JE, they make a good piston from what i've heard.

you can order direct from CP - or perhaps even find a dealer in spain who can order them for you.

Normally you fill in a big information sheet and they then design the piston based off of that information.

Jesus, gimmie a ******* hour to respond will you?!

I got my CP's custom made, direct from CP. I ordered them .020" overbore, 8.5:1 compression with a flat top. Now get this, S-Unit has the CP's in their own profile. I didnt want to go through SU, so I called CP, and basically, SU is being gay and wont let anyone use their "profile." So, I did all the hard work, and had a special profile made of my own by CP, to my specs. And, I told them all the makes and models that it fit (FS engine) and told them to make it publically available to anyone who wants it. They may or may noy add them to the 2010 catalog. If you look on their website, you'll see they dont currently have a listing for the FS engine. You need to phone Mike at CP in California, and tell him you want my piston profile, in your own bore diameter and they can cut you some in as little as 6 weeks. They're really fast on the turnaround times there.

Now, stop panicking. You don't "need a custom pistons made ASAP" cause it's not gonna happen. Your engine is ******. You're down for AT LEAST 6 WEEKS for custom pistons, and thats if you order tomorrow. See if SU has some in stock, but it's doubtful, espesially in 40 over. If you're set on going custom, you're down for a month and a half. Now, if you wanna "get it running again ASAP" then grab some off the shelf Wiseco's from whoever has them in stock and be done with it.

Stop being in such a rush with everything, that's why you blow your car up so much. Take the time, and do it right. Seriously, if you would have slowed down, and done some research on this very forum, you would see that CP's were the way to go long before you put those Wossner's in.

Why don't you give people a chance to answer you with proper info in a reasonable amount of time (24-48 hours) and be grateful for their responses, instead of a cock about it? You've got guys in here who are trying to help you yet you're impatient and rude to anyone who questions your car and what happens with it. Just because someone carries the mod tag doesn't mean you need to be a jackass towards them.

Personally, I don't understand why you'd pay for new pistons and a rebuild unless you blew your motor. More money than brains? It just seems unnecessary to me, but if you're gonna spend the euros (or whatever they use in Spain), be my guest.
