Mazdaspeed Springs or Eibach Prokit???

I have a MS3. I am debating whether to get the eibach prokit or the mazdaspeed accessory springs. I have read all about the eibachs but have not heard too much about the mazdaspeed springs.

I have heard from some people that they are the same springs, and also from others that they are not.

Does anyone have before, after pictures of the mazdaspeed accessory springs.

Anyone have experiences or comments with the mazdaspeed accessory springs.

And no, I dont want coilovers right now, just springs and then I'll go with aftermarket struts/shocks later.

The Mazdaspeed springs drop the car about 1/2" all around and are 30% stiffer then stock. The Eibach Pro-Kit for the MS3 are probably almost just as stiff but drop the car a little more then an inch all around. When I saw the Pro-Kit drop in person, I was shocked because they are listed as almost an inch drop.

save your money and buy coilovers, or buy the springs and get shocks to go with it. The stock shocks just wont handle the springs for very long. Ive had the eibachs on my car for about 10k car has 36k and the shocks are feeling it. Ill have MS coilovers on this spring

what shock will match the mazdaspeed spring? cant just replace the shock with a after market shock that isnt suited to the spring

I'm glad someone started a thread on this as I have been inquiring on this as well.

From what I understand, they are both Progressive spring sets so they will both be comfy in cruising scenarios while getting tight when it comes to crunch time. Atleast the Mazdaspeed setup comes with the camber correction links.

IF i get the eibach I was planning on getting Koni yellows or Koni FSD's down the line when I need new shocks. BUT I am thinking about getting the Mazdaspeed Accessory Springs as well. Just want to know if anyone has experience with the mazdaspeed accessory springs.

I have the eibach prokit mated with tokio illuminas on my old mazda mx6, I'm planning to buy the eibach prokit and some Koni FSD's for my mazdaspeed3 here in a month or so. the Mazdaspeed springs are made by eibach, but they arnt identical to the prokit ( if you go to the german mazda site and look for accesories for the mazda3 MPS ( the europe speed3 ) they even say the springs are made by eibach.

if you are planning to get koni's sooner than later, I would just go with the prokit now so you already have half the setup when the time comes.

That would be awesome if you could post that info. I have been looking around for info too but it requires so much time and most are not as in depth. All I ever hear about is coilovers and the eibach prokit but not too much about the mazdaspeed springs.

I was almost about to go the mazdaspeed coilover route but I figured the costs of buying/installing was going to be too much and my car will never be autocrossed anyway.

As of right now, I am considering going with the Mazdaspeed 3 Accessory Springs for a daily driven car except for winter. One of the sponsors here, Online Mazda Parts- Montgomery Mazda, have it for $385 shipped. I also got my MS CAI from them for cheap. Does anyone know if they go lower than the .6" specified drop after settling?

I have the Pro Kit on my speed and the drop is enough for me..looks way better then stock...it is not as smooth on big bumps as i would like but its not horrible either. If i was to do it over again i'd try the Mazdaspeed springs and hope to get that well tuned ride quality that matches the stock shocks alittle better. I haven't measured mine lately but the rears are at about a 1/2'' drop and the fronts are about 3/4'' or slightly over. Good Luck deciding.

Even though the stock shocks are terrible, at least Mazda designed their accessory springs for them.

I've had the MS springs for the last 35,000 miles. They are great. I just recently replaced them with a set of coil overs. The coilovers are def stiffer and more controlled, the the MS springs did very well and worked perfectly for a daily driver.

I was in western PA last weekend, MI roads are considerably worse than the roads I was driving on. Pro kit and the cobb rsb was a nice combo and i must say there are some nice twisty roads in PA.

Yeah, the roads in western PA aren't too bad. I'm near the Lehigh Valley north of Philly and the roads are pretty bad.

Don't even get me started about bad roads. Somehow, the nicest roads around here have developed crater-like cracks in the grooves between each section of cement, and they're opening in an area where it's unavoidable unless you "pac-man" the road and drive almost completely in the center. It's getting pretty ridiculous man, i'm terrified to put my summer wheels and tires back on with these roads. And my alignment is coming up soon..
