I'll be Tivo'ing the show this Sunday. I hope Tri-Point makes a diecast model of #72 and #73...that'll be awesome

Now that would be awesome. My son loves diecast cars and my Mazda so this would be really cool to get for him.

Im not feelin this one sorry guys waste of a sticker if you can't even read it or tell what it is. Sorry but if your going to rep something do it to the best of your ability not something like that.

National TV Coverage + Thousands of Walk Up Spectators > One Lousy Out of Focused Pic

Very true.

Nice catch.

The Tri-Point Mazdas are the stars of the series (IMHO) and I'm glad to see the tie-in.

I miss the Proteges though.

Question for Jeff: could you race the Mazdaspeed 3 in the series? (I'm talking rules, not Mazda wanting to promote the 6.)

A Mazdaspeed 3 could be ran in the series.

haha do you think anyone on national tv will see that. Yes walk ups maybe but thats about it. live spectators won't be able to see that only if its in a photo. thats the only way you can distinguish what that sticker says.
It's better than nothing at all.
It's larger than 40% of the other dacals that can't be read from a distance.
The live spectators won't be looking at photographs, they'll be in the pits and at the truck (aka walk-ups).
That's all that matters.

It's not like we're advertising a major company... that's plenty of stickerage for a car forum.

I totally agree...were not pushing any products here, just good info. and good friends.
This is a great opportunity and I would much rather be part of a forum that works with a nationally recognized racing team to gain support and new members.

Well said! :D

Let's keep this thread upbeat guys...This partnership means a lot to me and the community...I've been a big fan of Tri-Point even before I started Mazda Forums and I'm very proud to have our decals on their cars.

The Tri-Point team are winners in my book with a passionate..no-nonsense approach to racing time after time. I believe this opportunity is only the beginning of a very mutually fruitful relationship for everyone!

I can't wait to see how the first race of the season pans out...Plus we should have some more shots from the race to check out soon!

The proteges are still around , only dressed up in different colors:

OMG...That's beautiful!!!

Is it safe to assume that mazdas247.com is the only online community represented on a World Challenge car...dare I say in any professional racing series???

Sorry, but another forum I used to be associated with was on all 3 Tindol Motorsports, cars last year and my local forum is represented on all 4 Tindol cars this year.

Also, one of the Focus Forums had their stickers on the Focus that competed in a few races last year. No matter, it is a major feather in the hat of the Forum, Tri-Point has been in the forefront of Mazda racing for years. Randy and Jeff are good friends of ours for the past couple of years.

They, along with Craig Nagler, presented my wife with an official Tri-Point Crew Shirt.

That's a 10-4 Good-buddy ;)

I hope someone can upload the race once it airs on SPEED! I don't get that channel in Japan :(

We'll have video coverage of the event, as we'll have access to the pits as well. We can also get a copy of Speed TV Coverage if needed.

Hey Jeff@Tri-Point- tell Pobst that the only reason I read my copies of SportsCar (the SCCA monthly publication) is to read his article.

The Proteges do still run in WC- just not as far up in the pack as they used to.

I too, would be interested in a forum sticker.

This is awesome news! Good luck in the races! Oh and thank you for representing this forum!(2thumbs)(nana)(kiss)(yes)(bowdown)(yippy)(thumb)

For that matter couldn't you run the MS6 in the series as well? This would counter the AWD of the Stasis team. I do realize however, that the AWD and turbo advantages would come with the disadvantage of added weight.

I watched the cars at Mosport previously and was wondering whether you would switch to the MS6 with the rule changes, but I gather that with a successful formula there is no reason to change.
