..... Tib is crap and very close to bottom of the pack in quality/fit & finish. Built in a third world country and has horrible resale......
you are a ******* moron... South Korea is one of the most advanced countries in the world(hardly a third world country)... I think they are ranked number 2 in electronics right after japan.... too bad that still does not help their cars tho... go with 3 or msp.

you are comparing great apples with great oranges. not in the same market demographic...it will be a personal choice based on what's important to you, along with all the other things written regarding boosting etc....good luck!!

I am right there with you. I read that statement and said to myself, "I bet this moron has never even been to South Korea." Unless he was thinking Hyundai was a North Korean company (which it is not), then his statement couldn't be further from the truth. South Korea is just as industrialized as Japan, and South Korea, Japan and Singapore rank among the most industrialized countries in Asia. I was born in Seoul and lived there for a while; there is nothing "third world" about it. Stop watching movies with Asians wearing bowl hats wading through rice paddies and learn some damn culture!

BTW, Hyundai has made HUGE strides over the last decade in improving reliability. Hell, my mom's old '89 Excel saw well over 100,000 miles and has been driven cross country with nothing more than 3,000-mile oil changes and routine maintenance. Many automobile experts who know what the hell they are talking about say that Hyundai's reliability right now is just a notch behind Japan's Big Three of Honda, Toyota and Nissan; the problem is that reputation is always 5 years behind fact.

You agree with what I said about there cars and call me a moron for stating it all in the same sentence. Either I'm right or wrong, can't be both....MORON.

In the US, resale of a Protege is s***. Just bought the p5 last year in Sept. Drove it off the lot and lost 3-4000 on the resale. It could be a different story for 3s but as far as the history of Proteges go, resale value dwindles quick. And im talkin more on demand, not bluebook value.
Its hard to make a direct comparison with the Canadian market, but you lose $4000 the second you drive any car off the lot here. Protege was number 2 selling car in Canada the last 2 years and the Mazda3 is already number one the first quarter this year. The fact that Mazda is building some of the nicest driving cars in the world has caught on in Canada alot quicker for whatever reason. Used P5's bring big money here compared to most others. Tiburons lose about 60% of their value in 3 years time. By the the way a V6 Tiburon is about $4000 more than a Mazda3 in Canada.

what do yall think like fast turbo MZ3 times will be i mean without totally wrecking the cars reliability and gas mileage completly. maybe high 13s that would be awesome but realistic what do you guys think?
None of the turbo MP3 or P5 owners have problems with gas mileage, so the only thing you should have to worry about there is paying for 93 octane. I know you really want to know, but it's impossible to estimate the track times when we don't even know what kind of power it makes. I think high 13s would definately be possible, but there are a lot of factors involved, the most important of which is the driver. Check out this thread & be patient: http://www.msprotege.com/vbb300/showthread.php?t=43745&highlight=HiBoost

thank you for the help black majic. Your comments were really helpful and thanks to everyone . Im thinkin definately a mazda 2.3L maybe yellow or black mica with black leather seats i dunno bout the nav but thinkin bout the xenon lights. Or maybe i should go with the msp its a year old but it looks sweet some of you that replied have them and there awesome

I'll tell you that after having a Speed and driving the MZ3 I liked them much better than the Tib. The Speed is no comparison, it leads the pack in performance and handling. The tib looks a little more sportier than the MZ3 but it looks more girlie as well. I thought of chick car when they first came out. Although I have seen some with major body work that looked off the hook. The overall deciding factor for me would have been the shifting through the gear boxes. The Tib is ASS, ASS, ASS when it comes to precision shifting. I think that the 3 is almost as smooth as the Speed was. All I need is the short throw and it would be there. Just my opinion. Peace.

P.S.
Why not test drive a Mitsu Ralliart if you don't like the 3, I would reccomend that over the tib. I test drove one before I got my 3.
