Mazda Speed Upgrade Options?

Yea I thought it was all styling but they could have flashed the ECU without us knowing....

Anything is possible, but I would assume this is extremely unlikely. I raised genuine safefty concerns within Mazda Canada corporate, the dealership and information was also passed onto the Western Canadian Rep.

Mazda Canada did acknowledge by displeasure and told me they are working towards a fix. IF they already had a fix (on the 2003.5), trust me I would of known.

Mazda may be playing "hush-hush" since they need to sell the 2003.5's. Buy it, and deal with the problems later attitude.

hehe, yea mazda speeds seems like a better choice now...its just that stalling problem. Do the 2003.5's have that problem too

4,500 miles and never stalled once.

Nope, look at his sig.

As I mentioned earlier, some MSP owners do not encounter Stalling/hesitation. That's why I highly doubt Mazda would publically announce a recall.

ahh...so its more luck of the draw...
Also is it more the first ones made, or the later ones that have this problem, or is it just random, like some have it some dont?

From my research, it's random. But for those MSP's owners experience stalling/hesitation, know where to come! ;)

A fix...not yet - although your dealership may be willing to tinker under the hood, it will not permanately fix the problem. Again it's speculation that the Stalling/Hesitation are not mutually exclusive.

As fars as styling options for the 6, Corksport has a bunch of bodykit options, and some performance options, although they are very expensive. I may have convinced my dad on the 6 after he saw the goodies they had available...As far as the stalling issue on the MSP, mine has never stalled(you guys mean it actually dies, right??). I have 7,300 miles on it, and the only thing i don't like is the hesitation at WOT. Other than that, I am pleased. Oh yeah, and no clunking ever!!:)

Yep, completely dies when driving. I average ~1.5 stalls per day.

As for the Mazda 6, check out the Areo Kit

Holy s***!! That is rediculous!!! I didn't know it was that serious of a problem...The only thing as far as my car that i noticed is that when i start it, it seems to drop revs down well under 500rpms, then goes back up to 700-800. It has never actually died though. Have you tried flashing the ECU?

6000kms hasn't stalled once, no clunk, and a mild hesitation between 3000-4500rmps. I was looking at the 6 as well and I took it for a test drive, it's definitely a nice car but just felt too big for me, as soon as I sat in the speed I knew I wanted it. Just depends what you are looking for in a car. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice.

yea, I am gonna try and hit the mazda event tommorow in Miami so I can check out the 6 and I hope they have a speed there too.
