Mazda Speed 3 Problems.

yep it works. you just have to work it in a bit but after a minute or so of moving it back and forth the squeak will end

Thanks dude, I did it today and it hasn't squeeked! Easy fix. I didn't want to do WD40 because it would have made the interior stink and the lithium grease basically has no smell at all.

34k, sure suspension makes noise....its cold, thats what they do. Every car Ive had did it. Windshield makes that noise, sure it annnoying, but it really only does it when its cold, I have a TRZ side mount, so this makes everything shake:) The only problem I had was the driver side CV boot had a hole in it. The car has been great, I dont plan on modding the engine too far above what I have done now, suspension only, and hit the track.

awesome!! glad it worked for ya!!

oh i did open a complain , from the first day it gave me s*** , they fill it with 87 octane an it ran like crap for like 2 refills an they couldnt even fill it all the way up. Im supposed to drop it off tomorrow an they coming tuesday i hope this is the end of my problems or someone is gonna get it (fight) lol

87? Did they give you a new engine after?

I'll fix my seatbelt squeak when the weather gets warmer. Cool weather tends to eliminate the seatbelt/glove box squeak but bring out the cowl rattle.

Warm weather is just the opposite. This car can be moody :)

Ha lol , they said eventually it will go away after like 2 fills, well its official turbo is blown again , like i didnt know that , so the earliest i would get the car back with all the issues repaired would be monday or tuesday.(sad2)

If you were the 17 year old kid making the swaps, would you not drive it like you stole it?

Hah, depends I was the 24 yr old doing them and I didn't. But I've seen some pretty crazy things done with them so you're definitely right. Just pointing something out. You never know who's driven your car and how regardless of mileage or not.

All I know is I've seen some of the speed 3's get a workout just moving from one lot to the next or being test driven (some dealerships will test drive any car and not have a designated car for it).

Where can I pickup some lithium grease locally? I found some online, but I'm not really sure what to get.

should be able to find it at any auto parts store. ie. advanced auto, checkers, pep boys anything like that should have it

I think you are both entirely correct! My '07 had a brake slave cylinder leak plus the several recalls known to the 07s (my car never had any symptoms of what the recalls were supposed to fix), all of which were fixed by the dealer with very little hassle.
I think a single failure in 76,000 miles including a little track time is fairly good. My neighbor's BMW was always in the damn shop with a fraction of that mileage. My 7 year old son says BMW must stand for "Breaking Machine, Watch out!"

I bought mine from walmart actually. It was like 2.50-2.75 for a spray can. Its not in the oil section, but still in the automotive. Look where the wd40 is.

My 08 GT has 16K miles on it and other than the carpet being replaced due to premature wear and the windshield rattle the car has been great. My suspension squeaks when the temp gets into the teens but so does the suspension on my truck...
The dealership I bought mine from would not let me drive it until I proved that I was serious about driving it. I bought it with 3 miles on the clock, and those were put on it during my test drive. The sales person said that they did that with all of there Mazdaspeeds.

Yes, the winter floor mats were f'ing up the carpet and I guess I wasn't resting my foot squarely on the plate next to the clutch, so there was a wear mark there as well. Mazda had no problems putting new carpet in it and even gave me a rental car while they did it.

Stock turbo started smoking with 8k miles. The second 3200 after 11200 miles two blown turbos, the downpipe started making noises, they fixed it but is doing it again, the radio was mest up from the first day, it would play vocal but no bass. The center caps on the wheels keep falling off an the rims are in perfect shape 0 scratches, the camber in the back is extremly positive which has wear off my tires, my rear wiper sprayer doesnt work, my headlight get humidity inside but they say is normal, the shifter has been replace twice this would be the third , it bends an it wont go down to reverse it has to be punch down an pulled up. The springs in the driver seat sound like a car from the 80`s an the suspension bushings are starting to make noises. The car has been well mantain , mobil one full synthetic every 3k no exception an is turbo timed every time . Im so dissapointed i cant believe i traded my srt for this bunch of problems.
Sounds like my Mazda3. POS all the way....at least your transmission isn't shot and nobody recognizes it or believes you. :/ (mainly my Mazda dealer)
