Mazda RX-4?

I inherited a Rx4 from my father. I am wanting to get it running again so I can drive it. Where can you find parts for these? Is their a aftermarket parts site? Is their body kits made for them?

Unfortunately just about all OEM parts are NLA. Your best bet it keeping track of eBay, Craiglist, etc. Parts seem to pop up more frequently in Australia and New Zealand so be sure to monitor their eBay and Yahoo auction sites. Some of the other rotary forums have parts pop up from time to time as well. For the love of God please do not put a body kit on a classic like an RX-4! Would you put a body kit on a '70 Chevelle SS?!

I am not sure yet. I am hoping to dig into it this weekend or maybe next. I know I will need new front/possibly rear seats. I am missing the right amber light cover on the fender. I will make a list of things I may need to replace to see if you can help me out. Thanks

What parts are you looking for??? I may be some help..

When you are ready let me know and I will see what I can do..

Dan, I noticed your out of Eatonville, I am in the tri-cities. Its a small world. Well I have got it running again and I have torn out the interior since the mice had eaten and destroyed most of it. What I need is the front passenger turn signal cover that is on the fender, If you have any badging that would be awesome. I am also going to need to upgrade the suspension. Is their a company that sells good quality parts in the USA or am I going to have to order over seas? Any opinions on a brand that I should look in to?

I can get some suspension bushings.. and I have a machine shop in house so I can make the stuff too..

What bushings are you needing and I will see what I can come up with..

I know I have a few marker lights. I will see what I can come up with..

Dan

I wasn't really looking for bushings, I was wanting new springs and shocks that would lower it an inch or so.

let me know what you find for the marker lights.

Also Dan. I currently have a Holley carb and intake installed. my dad said that the carb should be replaced. can I use any carb or does it have to be rotary specific?

you need to get the carb from Racing beat.. they are the only ones that have been able to make a Holley to work correctly on a rotary..
I will look at my KYB Book on the notes my dad has put for the shocks and struts..

Dan

the only other carb you can use off the shelf is a weber.. all others wont work right as the rotary engine breathes differently and has a slight pulse going through the intake.. So sorry in our case a Edelbrock or Holey right off the shelf wont run correctly..
