Mazda P5 upgrades

Just bought a 2002 P5 and was wondering the best place to get upgrades like air intake and exhaust for it?

everybody's first mods were intake as I can recall
I thought long and hard about if I should go cold air intake (intake that runs behind your front bumper) or short ram intake (heatsoaker..)
so maybe you should go the same way I did and buy this : http://www.ebay.com/itm/360380937911?_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649&item=360380937911
Then run it right behind your front-left headlight, relocate your cooler overflow tank to where your stock airbox was, and use the overflow bracket to hold the custom intake in place.
then all you need is a cone filter (go AEM or k&n!)

Instead of spending 200$ for just a name, go this way! budget modding ftw!

That's beautiful man. My brother put in a short air intake like you said, with a $30 auto part store cone. I may have to fix that if it starts over heating come summer time.

Welcome bro! It shouldn't overheat. I live in northern Ohio and our summers are hot and muggy. I have a short ram with AEM dryflow filter. But intake, tuneup, exhaust and other maintenance are key. Have fun with her bro!

Short rams actually draw in cool air not as cold as a cai but by no means do they "heat soak"

^this. As soon as you start rolling all the heat is pushed out of the bay. No real performance difference between short vs. cold air. So go short ram - it is cheaper

Bypass valve solves that, but it's another $50. Ask me how I know. lol

What I am gona ask is why didn't you use the hole behind the coolant reservoir like most cai's I've seen or is it just the way aem is made?
