Dave,

I'd like the dimming mirror and the car cover (for a P5?)...also can you get the roof rack fill in strips (for when removing the rack or with P5s w/o the rack)? I'm here in Austin right now and Mazdastuff is telling me $90 for the cover and $55 for each side for the strips....

Can you order these items w/o my credit card number? Do you have that account info. still on hand?

Thanks,
Dimitrios
The strips would run 45.26 a piece and the car cover would be 55.00. I dont have your info on hand still but if you want any of these parts shoot me a pm and i will get them ordered for ya.

a few more things I'd like to ask about.. i don't have the part numbers written down anymore.. I know someone from the Mazda dealership up here got them for me once but I think the paper got thrown out.. :(

The black vinyl stickers that are on the front (near the hinge) of the driver's side rear passenger door, and the rear sticker of the driver's side door..

Also, the weatherstrip moulding for the door jamb inside, and the door itself, on the driver's door.. All for a P5..

Unfortunately.. someone tried breaking into my car... they messed the paint up pretty bad.. my touch up job looks pretty crappy, heh.. the stickers are ripped and the weatherstripping on the driver's door and inside the door jamb is torn apart.. :(
So I get to replace those too..

Last thing I need is a lock set for the car.. and I'm almost positive the description for that is "lock set" or something like that.. it's new keys and locks for everything.. I didn't mention, but it was a relative that tried breaking into my car.. he also stole a set of keys and one of the remote transmitters... he's in jail now though..

You don't have to cause I know it'll take some time, but if you could get me prices on these, that'd be so awesome as I have to replace them soon..

if i can get the part numbers I'll post them ASAP. I do remember the stickers were 5-10 bucks each.. the weatherstrip mouldings were almost 50 each, and the lock set was around 250 I think..
Ok the stickers would run 5.06 and 2.97 respectively. The door weatherstrip would run 28.98 and the welt molding(on body of car) would run 35.14. The lock set would be 166.70. I would have to order everything. Let me know if there is anything else i could help you with.

I know you won't ship but can you please check if you can??? I live in Canada and a auto-dimming rear-view mirror would hit the spot! Also the workshop & electrical manuals... are they US spec only??? Do they also have information on our MSPs as well???
Like ive said i am not willing to ship. Im doing this as a favor to forum members that are local and could pick up the parts. I dont have time to ship out things currently and im not making any money off doing this. Im a nice guy and all but i dont have the spare time to ship out things and really wouldnt want to do it for free. The manuals would be US spec only and would not include info on the mazdaspeed.

Just wanted to apologize for being slow to respond lately to everyones questions its been kinda hectic lately at work.

what are the hours that the dealership is open until when we can pick up the stuff from the cashier?

Parts is open M-F 8am to 5pm. Anytime after those hours you will need to let me know ahead of time so i could put the parts up front. M-F up to 9pm at the cashier and on saturday 9am-5pm.

I'm heading up to Wisconsin the first week of May. Would it be possible to stop by and pick up an order then if I pay now? How long could you hold a p5 sport exhaust for me?

I think as long as you pay before hand(credit card), you can get it for same low price(until end of april) and from WI to Joliet Dealer will about 1~2hours of driving too. I drove from IA to IL (about 4hrs of driving and it was worth it) :D

for those of you that want a manual and aren't willing to wait, I have a hard, paper copy and electrica/harness manual from Mazda South in Austin.....

It's quite a few pages and I'd be willing to go to a Kinko's or something with ya' and have a copy made up.......it's just loose leaf sheets in a 5" or 6" binder...

Dave,

You have PM :)

Well you sure had a productive trip to Texas. :D

Its a generous offer you have made, but I think Kinko's or any other copy place may have an issue with copyright protection of the manual. I know I've run into that with Kinko's when I've had to copy documentation from a manual for a project I've done.

Nice thought though!

Paul,

Yeah, I thought about that after I posted....I'll have to check the fine print...

Did you install your dimming mirror (or anything else for that matter? :p)....I need to hustle on installs when I get back.

Also, have you checked out your welder friends' place in Alsip? I may be going with a Flowmaster setup and need it welded....

Nah, I just keep collecting more stuff. Brought home my MSP Racing Harts last week, the last two Tokiko HPs today, and the Toyo Proxes 4s are due into the office on Thursday. I'm just waiting for iON to ship my rear two springs.

My partners are beginning to think I'm nuts, lol.

Hey, my old boss from the construction company I worked for offered to let me use the shop's garage. My good buddy, who also worked for the company, has his compressors and pneumatic tools over there. I know he'd let us use his equipment if you're interested in doing the struts and coils together. Let me know.

I haven't checked in with Julian Welding yet. I know they were scheduled to move at the end of March, but I know setting up shop takes some time. I'm going to be down that way next week on business, and was thinking of stopping by to see if their set up. I'll let you know.

Back on topic. Dave, I want to order the service manual. I'll call you tomorrow and give you all the necessary information again.

Thanks for everything once more.

p5 security system-list $205 my price normally $146.30 now $93.50

Would this be a clean install on a 3 5-door? If so, do you know if a dealer would install the one you're selling? void warranty?

sorry so many questions from a noob.

As long as you pay in advance i can hold it for ya pretty much indefinitely. I just cant have parts sitting around in inventory that we dont stock that arent paid for.

To the best of my knowledge the mazda 3 does not share any components with the protege 5. Im sure the alarm would not be compatible with the 3. As of right now mazda doesnt offer any alarm upgrade for the 3's.

ack. sucks. guess the 3 accessory brochure was just a tease. thanks for the reply.

If the 3 accessory brochure lists one then im sure there is one. Parts for whatever reason is usually the last to know about new accessories. Typically the accessory brochures list part numbers so if you could get me the number i could tell you a price. I went up to the sales dept and of course they dont have any brochures or i would find it for you.
