Guide: Mazda Firmware Update Information

I'm having problems with the Carplay failing. I removed the nav card and it happened again. I cant find a

Carplay Adapter Compatible with Mazda 2/3/6/CX3/CX5/CX9/MX5 2014-2021

for the 2021 CX9. It says it's for 2021 but the box only shows up to 2020. Will the firmware resolve the Carplay issue. Thanks.

BTW, I have version NA 11026.

Hello,
I’m reaching out to kindly request the firmware download link you mentioned. Here are my details:
  • Vehicle Model: 2018 Mazda 6 2.5L
  • Current Firmware Version: 70.00.335 4A N
  • Region: Southeast Asia (Philippines)
  • CarPlay/Android Auto: Retrofit already installed
I would like to update to firmware version 74.00.324A 4A N, I hope to get the most recent version if possible.
I understand these files are compiled from third-party sources and that updating carries some risk if not done properly. I truly appreciate the time and generosity of the community in making these available.
Thanks in advance for your help and support!
Best regards,
Keller

A reminder here to DM @Candurin for assistance.

PLEASE READ THE POST IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE POSTING A REPLY IN THIS THREAD.

To gain access to these files, please DM @Candurin.

Firmware versions are region specific, so when you send a DM to @Candurin for the links, be sure to specify the following:

1. Your car model
2. Your current firmware version installed (format should be XX.XX.XXX or 7XXXXXX-NAXX_1XXXX or something similar)
3. Your region

IMPORTANT NOTE: These files and processes are compiled from third party sources. Please be aware of the risks of performing these updates yourself. There is some potential to brick your CMU if some steps are missed or the wrong files are used. Mazdas247 does not assume responsibility of the actions taken by its members or the damages that may result from those actions.

These files are being provided as a courtesy to our members, to allow them to avoid the potential dealer fees and time wasted in the dealership, waiting for a technician to perform these updates. A previous member of the Community was kind enough to provide these source files and instructions - as such, these files and the links that may be provided to you carry no guarantee that they will remain intact in the future.

Typically, most people will perform these firmware updates in conjunction with an Android Auto Apple CarPlay retrofit kit, which can be purchased or ordered from any Mazda dealer. However, these firmware updates may also resolve certain bugs and glitches in previous versions, and may also improve overall performance of the infotainment system.

The most recent, and final update at this time is 74.00.324A. This firmware version/format (.up) will not be installed on new Mazdas. You must use the correct region for your Mazda, as detailed below.

74.00.324A NA N for North America, USA, Canada, Mexico, etc.
74.00.324A EU N for Europe and UK, etc.
74.00.324A 4A N (ADR) for Australia, NZ, Middle East, Thailand, South Africa, Oceania, etc.

2014-2018 Mazda3
2016-2021 Mazda2
2016-2021 Mazda6
2016-2021 CX-3

I was having the same issue. Do not do a quick format. Just completed the update using this video:

Thanks to @Candurin for the file. Updated my CMU successfully. Followed this video after formatting my 16 gig drive (not the quick wipe) and copying the file over.

ok the ports are recognizing the USB's but it says no data available. I downloaded correctly on the flash drives. I followed printed directions and checked areas "2" and "3" on the screen prior to going to "99" to see available updates. When I click on that it says no data available. I hate to give up and go to dealer when I've gotten this far.....

Did you do the format and not the quick one? I had the same issue but after the reformat it worked. Try YouTube for install steps.

also this says Mazda 3 but I have a CX-9 does it matter?
