Jeff Altenburg takes third place behind the two Acuras of Cunningham and Kleinubing. Chuck Hemmingson took the fourth spot.

Here are couple shots to wet your whistle.

Nice!! Those are cool pictures.

I thought the Petit Le Mans was later this year. Man am I lost being back on night shift.

Nope, last weekend. One more race to go at VIR at the end of the month.

I will be there for coverage and the racing should be great. Anyone within driving distance should head on down there.

I need to move to the east coast...

Actually you live in a place I would much rather live other than the access to tracks here on the east coast. I used to live in Utah and loved it out west. I did however go into race withdrawl and that combined with the whole family living back east made me return to this hideous area.

If I could live out there and travel to all the races I would most certainly do it.

Yeah, it is nice up here...But I haven't been to a real race. So, I'm not in race withdrawl, I'm in race envy. All the good races are on either coast, and most of them are on the east coast.

All we get here is some cheese ball Kart race and NASTYCAR down in the Springs...

Although Pikes Peak is neat, that is slowly dying as the push moves for all mountain roads to become paved here.

If you are gonna make a one race trip, I would try to plan to hit the Petit LeMans next year. Although at this point it hasnt been added to the WC schedule.:( The race is a blast and is a full weekend event and party.

Another good one would be the DC race. Although not as long a race as Petit or as neat a track, it has a lot of stuff to do if you have never been to DC. So you could make a true vacation out of it.

You could also do that with Mosport as well, since you could do some traveling and hit places like Montreal and Niagra Falls before or after race weekend.

Anyway, just some ideas. I used to travel back east for at least one race a year and to see family. But once you have hit a few, it just want more.

You could also look into the SCCA. I know they have some tracks out your way and that would allow you to get involved and have some fun with some amateur road racing. I would have been able to live with that, but the closest place for that from Utah was Denver and it was just too far to go for amateur racing. But now that I have an amateur track within an hour of home I go to that about once a month to get a fix.

Anyway, I will envy you over the winter since there is no racing and, in the DC area, no snow or mountains.

Have fun for me.

Yeah, Second Creek Race track is not to far from here. The SCCA has a lot of stuff there in the spring and summer. I wanted to get involved with them more, but I never have weekends off, except for drill and I work nights.

I will do more, once I get my life in order...And maybe a day job.

I'll have to plan for the DC race next year, go visit my firend and his/my adopted parents. My buddy is like my brother, his family is my family and vice versa. They all live out in the DC/Virginia area.

And I will have fun for you. I'll get in a few snow fights for ya.
