Wow...the truth WILL set you free.
I'm guessing this really only works for the MSPs correct? If not, I wonder what the benefits of trying this on the N/A would be?

pics of the intall, dyno of the 626 mani yet? So far, all talk, no proof.

edit: yeah, it looks the same on the outside. But internally, it is supposedly different, which is what we were told. Well, for my sake, I want to see what people are really doing. Pictures of gasket off, intake installation, and dyno pics/video, etc are needed to truly proove Cullen wrong. I want to see that. Please.

yup your right, but more importantly where is the ********** proof of disproving whats in this thread? 2 of us have offered to do a comparison and he has said no

if its different inside post pics of the inside and we can compare when mine shows early next week

and if its already bigger inside, why is he offering extrdue / hone for more money? why is the EGR an option? who in the hell makes an aftermarket IM and makes the EGR fitting an option?

Could i just put a vaccum nipple on the egr hole and hook it up to the brake booster

and call it a day?

I hear ya Tekkie. I am not sponsered or employed by SU. but I do believe there has to be an internal difference. I mean, if the mani has always worked, why hasn't anyone here done this before? That surprises me a lot.

If there is some stuff that SU has done to the mani that is proprietary, and would jeopadize his work into the mani, then I am ok with him not telling us. But I would think measuring the volume inside the mani to be the 1st thing people do then.

But as with people calling for dyno proof originally with the SU mani, I really wan tot see the mani pics as promised gaskets off (I wanna see it just like the SU one). I also want to see pics of the install progress on the vehicle as the 626 mani is installed. Then let's dyno it to compare. Until then, all talk.

i have a 98 626 and i have the engine on out of the car, and the mani somewhere, i need to put the whole engine together again in 2 days, i'll take pics of the stock mani for the 98 626....maybe we can broad(i'm a spic) of chances of having more than 1 year, if 98 works, i don't see why 98-2001 wouldn't work...

hell, there's so many mani's like that down here at the local junkyard, if anyone need one let me know...i could go and fetch it for ya!

hit me up with a price and i'll pick one up tomorrow

Well obviously someone has to be the first to do it. Why has nobody put a Ferrari engine into our cars yet? because they figured it would not work or it was a pita to do. So that point means nothing, you dont know it until you try.

and proprietary? what is proprietary about an IM? its obviously a 626 one so what could possibly be done to the inside other than there being more volume in there? and again if so why would you offer extrude home?

dont worry once I get mine I will post lots of pics, and I plan to do a before - after dyno as well :D

No, you spelled Proteges wrong right after I just said something about it.

I am TRYING to upload a video I shot today but Brighthouse hates me FTPing into my file server and I get capped at like 5k.

hmm check this out, here is the placement of the EGR pipe on the stock 626 header, it looks to be in the same place as ours so I am thinking the 626 EGR pipe will fit perfectly :) I will be finding out this week :D

why somebody wants to do this mod? im partialy clear that it will make the engine loose some top end.

nobody knows this for shure, let someone do it and dyno it...then will get clear results...until then all of what we say is pure speculations..(did i spell that right?)
