all these threads and nothing but a 626 manifold.

I agree that being a vendor means that he should not have to disclose exact details of his product... but if asked exactly what it better/improved, why not go into detail to try to win some potential customers?

Deny all you want, the manifolds look damn near identical. In one thread you mention that they are cast in Japan to keep production costs down... I can only wonder what they would cost if they were cast here

Edwin pretty much laid it out:

more impressions:

after tightening things up and lowering the idle, i am still getting a bouncy idle at 1500-1800 rpms once i give gas then stop at a light say.

Anyways, other than that the car feels great. DEFINATELY more off boost response quicker throttle response down low in the rpms. Up top it feels good as well, but it is hard to gauge.

Overall i am very pleased, now if i could only find out what the bouncing idle is comming from....

can you explain bouncing? Is this cold and warm engine? Approx min and max of the bounce?
Mess with the idle adjustment screw a bit. See what differences in idle you get when you tighten and loosten the screw. Could this be due to volume changes between manifold?

check your idle air control solenoid connection to make sure that is ok (connection etc)... that's one of the ideas I would check over.

max idle bounce is like to like 2100 if that, and lowest is to like 1400 rpms.

I adjusted the idle screw down all the way and it seemed to help a bit, i got rid of a vacuum leak i heard in the engine, and the idle dropped a bit but the bouncing still happened.

Im assuming that there is another vacuum problem that i havent noticed yet and maybe that could be the cause.

The sucky thing on the manifold is that there are only 2 sources for vacuum to tap into and i have like 7 things that need to see a boost source, so needless to say my vacuum wiring looks like downtown detroit lol.

Maybe try to route the vacuum lines differently?

I dunno

There is a chance you have a leak at the TB or IM gasket as well...

Go through and pinch each of your lines while it is idling and see if it changes at all..

Who sells those vacuum line hubs that you connect to the brake booster for extra vacuum sources?

get a can of carb cleaner or WD-40, and spray small sections of the intake tube, vacuum lines, and manifold until you hear the idle increase. Once it does, wipe down the area and respray to make sure. Then fix the leak.

Yeah, knowing that 's shows ownership and a single s at the end of a word makes it plural is SO LAME.

especially when they try to correct someone's typo and make one of their own

update again:

EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL!! Found out after some inspection that my throttel cable was oriented 180 degrees in the wrong direction so i flipped it and everything is werd.

Idle is back down to 850 purring like no other. Car pulls damn hard at .7 bar, almost as hard as it did at .95 bar. Another observation.... The car's power delivery is very very smooth. The "bruteness" type of the power is gone and the smoothness of 12 psi on the stock turbo has returned save for the external wastegate.

All in all A+ mod worth every bit of 45 bucks :)

Positive rep appreciated!
