Mashed-In MP5

Whenever I take my wheels off to rotate them or change brakes, the rust from the backs of the wheels and the rotors is so bad that I have to kick the wheels off haha!

Yo, my stockers arent to bad off if your interested i can take some pics tomorrow and PM them to you, i would have hit you up to chill if i wasnt working all day today. ive been spending most of my time in moyock(right across the border from va beach) so getting up to va is more of a feasible proposition in my life right now. matter of fact last week i was up at qmasters 2 and smoke house on shore drive

Yep, right around the corner.

That would be cool, I know one of mine is hella not balanced, I am guessing it smooched a curb or pothole earlier in life.

Cool. If not super soon, we will definitely meet up this spring/summer. I am working on a daily/ occasional drift status Hatch with an RB20det through april. After that I will focus on the pro5 body work and reworking my truck((1984 720) I'm on NICOclub most of the time (Breadbox)).

I like this forum a lot so far though, especially the info in FC's. I will eventually build one and I am sure probably love it. I actually prefer grip to drift, but I fell in love with the S13 so what's a fellow to do?

I want to start with an S2 turbo and go from there.

I got under it today, because I popped a passenger tierod on the highway on Sunday coming back from Williamsburg.
I kinda felt something was wrong cuz to keep the car straight I was holding the wheel slightly to the left. Said to my wife, Hey I should get an alignment", pothole....Tie rod was out and the wheel was buckleing.

Got out and put it back almost burning myself on the rotor. Friend picked me up quick, and got to O'riely got a new tie rod endlink and grabbed the castle nut and cottor pin out of that and a 19mm wrench and got back and had it almost done by the time the Staties showed up. So all in all wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Got a bunch of front end suspension stuff today. But when I inspected it futrher everything looked good but the one ite rod end, so I just left it til I order a timing kit and I will do a major overhaul in a month.

I do have a question...How the Hell do you get the oil filter off? My arm is too long to get enough torque even with that grippy drawer liner.

I did restore my headlights and put fresh oil in anyway. Not my fogs, I am gonna try to find a clean set later on.

Other side I did first with the whole kit, all the levels, not sure it really needed it, inner corner was hella hard to get into with the shaped pad provided, so I will go back later with other things.

Both Front doors had the same stupid rattle and I figured that out in like 1 second.

I wanted to just use some home foam in a can insulation, but I couldn't get the old can to work, so I did a little syrofoam and silicone sealant. Should be fine.

Replaced the fronts with whatever I found first.

So 3 doors are all better, here's the driver's door before I make it go back.

Oh a couple tips for those of you wanting to investigate under your door cards.

*Have a thin longish flat head and a normal phillips.
*Take your time
*Take out the plastic tabs first
*In the rears to take off the handle work back to front sliding and pulling towards the inner rear of the vehicle
*To remove the tabs that usually break or pop out the door cards, lift them so you can get under the tab with the flat head and pry, comes half way out every time, pullit out and put it back in the door card and it will be ready for install later.

Radio bezel is also super easy if you take your time on the HVAC cables first.

More later on.

for the oil filter, i've found it best to use one of those sets of filter pliers...they're only $10 or so, and are great for cars that have the filter mounted parallel to the ground (they usually don't work on cars that have the filter mounted perpindicular, if that makes sense...they're is never enough room to use them)...

but, if you're looking to cheap out on it...get the pliers to get your current filter off...then make sure you never over tighten it...i squeeze mine on just a half turn after its seated...never leaked a drop, and i can easily remove it by hand every single time...in which case you could return the pliers...

Still haven't gotten around to redoing the one lock yet. But I took the HU out of my old daily'd S13 coupe so now it bumps all four doors. Not really on purpose but I now have a full alpine system. I might build a custom 8" for the rear drivers side quarter and get more low end feel. First I need to measure the depth to see what kind of box can be built there. Probably will be an 8" that's shallow, maybe a 10". I still want a good amount of room to put stuff.

I still need to build a bracket for my HU and pocket, its just laying in there ATM, I might throw in a maxima pocket, cuz this one[current mazda pocket] holds like 3 cd cases, who needs that?
It{maxima pocket] looks like this

Been Driving it pretty hard lately. I have to say I think people think I am racing them, but the gearing is is such that I shift either low and slow or at 3500+ and have people trying to make their motor as loud as mine.

Anywho, Gonna still try to find another set of wheels for the pro5. Hopefully Ant gets on here, before I have to drive to OBX to find him.

Chilled with Anthony. Got his old beach blasted wheels. I love that my rear wheels are pretty dirty so you can hardly notice that I have mismatched wheels.

My friend has starting issues with his I30, so he is whipping around the masher. I heard on of the h7's went out, so I gotta try to get out there tomorrow and swap it out.

He said whenever I get it back he is gonna detail the shizz out of it, so that's pretty awesome. I just need to figure out how to get his I30 on the road, but I have no time as usual.

The beer biz is good though, I am happy to report. The bosses are headed to the CBC in D.C. so they should get a good amount of facetime as the prime emerging Brewery in Hampton Roads. Especially good considering we just heard GreenFlash is moving in to town.
